Chongqing?
I always thought Gunagzhou in Guangdong (Canton) was the main opium/tea trading port?
?????????????was the port of trade first used by Europeans (mainly the Portuguese) in 1541. It was China's main port in the nineteenth century for exporting tea.
And the opium trade was after the first Opium war after the chinese were forced to trade through European trading houses. Maybe I should have said Opium smuggling ! ( sorry )
