    A PUZZLE

Bob decides to take his motorcycle to work to enjoy the nice warm, sunny weather. On his way there he looks up and sees one of those big signs that display the time and temperature. The temperature comes up in Fahrenheit, and a few seconds later it comes up in centigrade. Bob says, " That's interesting. The digits are exactly reversed." For example, it might have read 31 degrees Fahrenheit, and when it showed the centigrade reading it said "13."

At the end of the day, when he comes out of work, he realizes he should have checked the weather forecast. It’s drizzly, rainy, and cold, and he has to get back on his motorcycle.

He's riding home when he comes to the same intersection. He thinks, "What are the chances I'd ever see that again?" He knows it's a different temperature because it's not warm and sunny anymore. He sees the temperature in Fahrenheit and the temperature in centigrade.

What are the chances? The question is, what was the temperature in the morning when he went to work, and what was the temperature when he went home?

There's only a hint that the C and F temperatures are numeric palindromes in the evening.

Either a slip up, or Tax is a sneaky fooker and it's part of the puzzle.

both morning and evening temps are palindromes.

16 to 61 and 28 to 82 are acceptable for the warm temps.

now how about the cold one.

    correct.

    heres another one.

A fair maiden wishes to wed. And her father, has devised a quiz to drive off her suitors.

There are three boxes on a table. One is made of gold, one is made of silver, and the third is made of lead. Inside one of these boxes is a picture of the girl.

It is the job of the suitor to figure out which box has her picture. Now, to assist him in this endeavour there are inscriptions on each of the boxes.

The gold box says, “Rowena's picture is in this box."

The silver box says, "The picture ain't in this box."

The lead box says, "The picture ain't in the gold box."

If the knight just opens one box and it contains the picture, he gets the girl.

The hint is, one of the statements, and only one, is true.

The question is: Where's the picture?

I'll take my answer back and change it to silver.

If it's in the gold box, gold and silver statements are both true.
If it's in the lead box, lead and silver statements are both true.

If it's in the silver box, only the lead statement is true.

Because Rowena is an anagram of "are won" ... and tests featuring pictures in boxes with inscriptions are how maidens are won. I thought everyone knew that.

A very wealthy Arab on his deathbed, calls his two sons and tells them the following:
One of you will inherit all of my wealth, the other will get nothing, and this will be decided by a race.
You both have camels that are among the best in the world.
You will race your camels, from a fixed starting position to a fixed finish, being a distance of 500km.
The first camel to cross the finish line will be judged the loser.
All or nothing, no deals, and my efficient executors will ensure there is no cheating.

Naturally, both sons want to win their dad's wealth, so they get on their camels, start the race, and trot around wondering htf to fulfil his dying wish since the first to reach the finish line loses everything.

Years later, they come upon a wise man sitting by the side of the road, still hundreds of km from the finish; they tell him about their predicament, and he says something, whereupon the brothers rush to the camels and the race is finally on, both trying to reach the finish line first.

What did the wise man say?
