OK then, the city should be familiar to most...
The name of the bridge for a green?

That'll be the Krung Thon Bridge in Bangkok!
^ humm ...
Saphan Phut (Memorial Bridge) just near the Night Market in Bangkok.
I'll fess up to having to ask my Thai Partner the name of the bridge
^ Oh dear... appears you fessed up for no reason Dave! I would have a word with your Thai partner, but a green owed for your honesty (it won't let me give you one at the moment).
Well done Dirk! Green sent. Back in the early 2000s when I was living in Singapore I got in the habit of taking long weekends in Bangkok and shacking up in the Royal River Hotel with a good friend, from where this picture would have been taken. Amongst other things, I used to enjoy watching the barges going up and down the river. Different time, different life.... I'll stop there I think.
Incidentally Dave, Wikipedia says the Krung Thon bridge was built 1954 - 1957 to relieve traffic pressure on the Memorial Bridge, so please don't be too hard on your Thai partner!
Thanks Mendip, I'll post this one quickly. I'm offshore 6am tomorrow to a Norwegian Semi-sub, the COSL Pioneer. UK sector tho.
Beautifull image.
Somewhere up in the Golden Triangle?
^^ No worries, have a good trip.
I'm working with a hillwalker from Braemar just now, will ask his advice in the morning...
^ Aahh... I was thinking that was heather in the foreground, and another pic from NE Scotland... hence what must look like an odd comment!
So, a lot further south and east from there.

It is not. Nice try tho.
It look like some one has taken a radom picture of clouds with a couple of mountains visible.
So why not take a picture of a Thai family any where in Thailand & we try to guess the names. 555
This one is deep South. A popular route for bikers.
The Sea of Mist, Aiyoeweng, Betong.
Take it away Anyone.
Another...
I took this pic today because the situation interested me so much. A vacant lot waiting for one last seller who is holding out?
I've spent a bit on our house in Korat which looks a lot better than this place, but I bet it isn't a fraction of a worth...
For a green, what soi did I take this pic from? Plenty of clues...
You both need to head east a bit...
Soi 29 opposite the Holiday Inn.

^ Spot on! Green sent!
When I lived in Kuantan, Malaysia many years ago I knew a pipe coating QC inspector who was married to a Thai. He earnt good money but always said his wife was way more wealthy due to family property in Bangkok.
Maybe something like this?
Yes, the Mermaid Hotel. As Jack says, a good bar downstairs.
The owner is an interesting guy, a Dane who founded Mermaid Offshore - hence the name of the hotel.
