No, I didn't google it. I remembered it from the last time you posted a photo of it; only 2 months ago.

You're close. One province over, this wealthy city is known for its culture, education facilities, and parkland.

    Ice District, Edmonton Alberta.

They are building 2 huge condos there. Thinking about selling in Toronto and buying the one at Marriott.

    Bingo. 100 points.

If you like beautiful cities, large outdoor festivals and concerts year round (even in winter), and parkland (largest urban parkland area in North America), you'd be hard pressed to beat Edmonton. And the housing is an absolute bargain, unlike most large cities in Canada. The city, like the rest of the province, over built during the last 25 years with the boom in oil and gas industry. Since the collapse of the price of oil and gas in 2014, the industry in the province has collapsed and so has the price of housing as workers moved out of the province looking for work. The price of housing in Toronto is at least 3-4 times what it is in Edmonton. And if you're educated and politically progressive, you'll like Edmonton. It's a capital city with a world class university (40,000+ students). The rest of the province, however, is politically regressive, redneck. The downside to the city, perhaps, is the cold winters.

It's not my go but it's been a couple of weeks...

I owe a lot of greens, but every time I try and give one I'm told to spread it around first. So, to start spreading it around here's an easy one if you know it!

This place had a real impact on my life. Where was I?

^ First thought was Brisbane, maybe from Mt Cootha lookout, but the powerline lines in front are something I don't recall.
Plus there looks a fair bit of undeveloped flood plain land in-front of the CBD, so that doesn't fit the narrative of my answer and your image.

You being in OnG ... I thought also Perth ... but I've never been.

    Eucalyptus trees in the foreground?
So, I'll start with somewhere in Australia?
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

    ^ Exactly!

Probably taken from the John Forrest National Park, just off the Great Eastern Highway. I would give you two greens for such a precise answer, if it was possible.

I met the wife in Perth... life changing...

    Kalgoorlie I reckon.

Nearly went for a job in the mines out that way many years ago. Went offshore instead and often wonder where I'd be now if I'd taken a different path.
