Replicas on Tha Chalaep Rd, Chanthaburi city, of the French occupation buildings at Laem Sing, Khuk Khi Kai prison cell and Tuek Daeng army barracks, the 'red building'.
Why? Well it saves a 25km trip to the coast...

Note: the genuine Tuek Daeng currently undergoing a full restoration at Laem Sing

Closed to the public, there are occasional public open days here; glimpses over the wall of the Taksin army base in Chanthaburi city, showing some of the old fortress and two (of seven) restored French buildings from their occupation 1893-1906.
As I once discovered, being here without permission creates a whistle-blowing military drama.
