    Culture minister opens Kru Kang museum in Rayong





    RAYONG, 2 July 2016 (NNT) -- Culture Minister Weera Rojphotchanarat presided over the opening ceremony for Kru Kang museum in Klaeng district of Rayong province which belongs to former teacher Somkiat Boonchuayleau who has collected a large number of rare antiques for over 40 years.

    The event was attended by Rayong provincial governor Somsak Suwansujcharit, Rayong Red Cross Society president Nipha Suwansucharit, Klaeng chief district officer Witthaya Chaphanon and Kram mayor Khachen Chaemsai.

    Kru Kang or Somkiat Boonchuayleau said that he has been collecting antiques since 1974 and opened the museum for younger generations and other people.

    The culture minister said that Kru Kang museum is a good example of preserving antiques for younger generations to see and study and the Ministry of Culture plans to support the museum and encourage people to visit.

    Load of old tat by the look of it, antiques have to be 100 years old, not 40
