Jomtien Soi 1

On the corner of Jomtien Beach Road is the Jomtien Plaza Condotel, across the road is Dong Tan Sub Police Station, if you turn right you will be on the gay beach area, and if you follow the path you will eventually come to Pattaya Park Beach (Pattaya Park Beach - Jomtien) and Pattaya Park, Pattaya Park features a water park with pools and slides, and is also famed for having the highest revolving restaurant on the Eastern Seaboard.



On your way to Soi 1 you will pass Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel, this is the one that caught fire and over 100 people died due to the hotel management locking the fire escapes, it mainly caters for Asian and Russian tourists and has a bowling alley and a couple of restaurants.



On the corner of Soi 1 you will find the Euro Star, this is a bar and restaurant, it has a web cam outside pointing across to the sea.



Down Soi 1 itself there really is not a lot of interest to tourists, Euro Star have a nice hotel there and a couple of houses for rent, the hotel has a small swimming pool, at the end of Soi 1 is a small apartment building called Richy Apartments, they have fan and air con rooms for rent.



On the opposite corner to Euro Star is the Sunlight Seafood Restaurant which does Thai, Chinese and European meals, Sunlight also has a hotel about halfway down Soi 1 on the right hand side.



Of an evening you will find many Thai food stalls set up in the parking area next to the beach between the corner and Soi 1, during the daytime there are a few food stalls set up across the road from the beach.
