New 1.1 Billion Baht Water Park close to Pattaya starts construction

On Wednesday at the Pattaya Hilton Hotel a contract signing ceremony took place for the construction of a new Water Park to be built close to the Silverlake Vineyard on the outskirts of Pattaya.

The Ramayana Water Park is located on 171,200 sq m of land and will be the largest water park in South-East Asia when it is finished.

The 1.1 Billion Baht Water Park will be completed in April 2013 and will feature 17 separate rides including a Dual Wave Pool, The Vortex, Aqualoop and Euro Bungy.

What does a billion baht toilet look like?

I went to Bangkok's "Dream World" water park several years ago and it looked like sewage treatment plant.

That would be Siam Park, it is a aging piece of shit agreed. Pattaya park is aging as well.

Dreamworld is the amusement park out past Future park on the Nakorn Naiyoke Rd.

Cartoon network is putting one in Bang Saray as well. So water fun is going to get competitive.

This is in addition to the theme park one in Bang Saray?.... Can only be good for the area and make it more attractive to families rather than the usual sex tourist riff raff...

I came here initially as one of the riff raff but my priorities are different now so I am all for the Californication of Pattaya.

    ^ Yes it is.

I am opening a Muppet resort next to it.

And some Football Golf for the stag parties.

Does anybody organize stag weeks in Pattaya? Neep is off to one in Ibiza - would have a better time in Pattaya... But then ther wouldn't be a holiday for him as he lives there.

There used to be a soapy massage place called "Dreamworld" in Chonburi. Lots of water-based fun activity to be had there, as I recall.

Well they opened a nice office down here in Jomtien, building is supposedly commencing, shall try to find it this weekend.

Pattaya Park will need to pull its socks up if the blurb is anything to go byy.

With leading Thailand contractors appointed to perform constructiobn, the waterpark will have newest and most exciting waterslides available that will offer thrills for adults & teenagers and hours of fun for small children. The Waterpark will also have many relaxing zones and attractions, international & local food & beverage plus live entertainment. This world class entertainment facility will offer a full day of fun and long lasting memories for families and friends. As Thailand's fisrt international standard waterpark and the creative spirit of the assembled team, Ramayana Water Park will be the largest and most attractive waterpark in South East Asia.

I hope that basket of fruit is worth the money the farang is investing. After the Thais get through with him, that will be the most expensive fruit he has ever received!!

We went to the Korat Zoo last Monday. It had a nice little water park. Just pay the zoo entrance fee and you can use it. Waterparks seem to be popular worldwide right now. Thailand has loads of young people so I'd say this place will do well. Been to Pattaya Park a few times in the past and it seemed to be going downhill.

common complaint about Pattaya Park is lack of maintenance, then again it does have a god locatrion and the hotel takes like 2k rooms.

That does not surprise me, was up there 2 weeks ago and they are still digging holes in the ground, no sign at all of any type of construction happening.
