    What beer do you drink?

    For me:

Singha - metalic taste and makes me feel exhausted the next day 6/10

Leo - reminds me of British lager, in other words weak and gassy. It seems to be the choice of many long-term expats. 3/10

Heineken - was my preferred choice but I have now discovered something better. 8/10

Chang - road to ruin and a kii nok's preferred choice. Drink it warm if you need to purge your stomach. 2/10

Chang draft in bottles - Have you tried this? I feel the quality is better than Heineken and strength about the same. Absolutely no after effects the next day. I feel hornier than ever. Plus it's as cheap as normal Chang. 10/10

    What do you drink?

I really do detest locally brewed - including Heinekin and Asahi. Too many preservative chemicals in them (notice there is no sell-by date on locally brewed beer....).
If I can find it I like Erdinger, Paulaner, Steller. Some places are now selling Aussie lager like crown which is nice.
However, since I normally drink in the gutter I usually resort to Leo.

Yes, but it's always fun to talk about beer.

Up here in the sticks, I drink Leo in the main, but sometimes have a few dunkels at Nobi's or a Guinness at the 'Clock.

I think the wording under my name states my brew of choice here in Thailand.

I really like the Chang Draught too, but when I can't find it I'll have a Leo. Tiger is ok also, but again harder too find in the moobaans.

Don't think I've seen in Chiang Mai. It was my favourite in the UK. Sunday morning my shit would come out yellow and smell of Becks. I'd walk to Waitrose, but some crusty rolls, bacon and a newspaper and spend the time before the pubs opened reading the football results while dripping melted butter from the bacon rolls on to the paper. I guess I drank too much over there.

Tiger lake (small bottles), it taste the best to me. Cold!

Chang if I want to get a buzz. Ice or no ice just so it's cold.

For me, always Tiger in small bottles, get the bottle in a 'cooler/condom' (terminology locally dictated), and pour a few sips/gulps worth into a small glass at a time. Beer stays cold until you drink it, and consequently refreshing. Always have to smile at the people who buy 'big' bottles of whatever beer, and let it sit on the table uncooled for 20 or 30 minutes, and end up drinking luke warm (or very warm!) beer. Amateurs.

I used to drink Bud, 33, Tiger, Tuborg, San Mig. actually any beer.
Now I don't drink any beer or any alcoholic stuff at all.
And I haven't been in jail for 30 years either.

There is no real beer here-tis all piss water. In place of proper beer, Chang classic, Tiger, Red Horse and Federbrau. Not all at the same time mind you

I seem to remember Tuborg and also Carlsberg when I first arrived. The Carlsberg was shite and very happy when the people at Singha stitched them up and forced them out the market.

what sort of things did you do when under the influence BG?

You have got to be farking kidding me!

Crown Lager has got to be one of the most overrated beers on the planet. Just because it's got a fancy gold label on the bottle doesn't mean it's any good.

Chang and lots of ice for me, at least it doesn't pretend to be anything that it isn't.
