Had a few Leffe Browns with some cock in Bangokok last night.

Not a bad beer at all. Nearly as good as an English bitter.

My last Fremlin was in a Rochester Pub, in a smallish Medway Town Hotel... still, nothing as good as a great Guinness with an occasional yoke thrown in... *'[at]# burp*'[at]#

Amaiii... but U R Dutch yrself... of niet Hans???? heheh...

Alright, tastier (= lekkerder) than the Heineken or Chang to begin with that are commonly drunk but I prefer Guinness always however, an occasional Grolsch or cheap Palm at some pubs will do me fine too.

A cask ale. Something along the lines of London Pride (cask, I said, not keg) and at a reasonable price (100B a pint).

I've never seen it in stock in any tesco-lotut.

Are you saying they sell it, or trying to be smart about something you don't know?

    Hmm... careful there Mr Mao.

I didn't see it myself but when I was served Guinness by my Property Developer friend at his Villa mansion in Hua Hin where I went to, he said his beverage & alcohol stock is taken care of by his maid but one can get it off from Tescos too when we drove back to Bangkok on 3 occasions as we have a suite rented in the capital.

Anyway, I drank all the Guinness I can for my Thai stay, more than I should for my Cholesterol cont against my Nutrionist advise

If you haven't seen any so far in Tesco, try Googling others.... or just go to the local Irish Pubs, thats more fumn too than getting drunk-nuts on yr own....

    Cheersch mate Mao.

Tonight, on the way home, I grabbed a large can of Chang draft and a large Chang 'classic'. It's okay.

I would love some Guinness in cans, but Foodland/Makro stopped doing it late last year... Might be something about the cheap Asean beers, and the distributors (controlled by Chang/Singh, etc) stopping it coming in at a good price.

I got hold of some Murphys in cans from Central Chitlom a few months back, never seen it since, and it wasn't as good as Guinness.

At 100 baht or less a can, I'd love draft Guinness...

It's a shame we can't get decent stouts here. Guinness really is a dreadful pint of piss when lined up against the competition, but Guinness' business strategy of forcing monopolies is nasty, but works.

Villa used to sell Guinness in cans when I last looked about 2.5 years ago.
