Hey Come on now QC this is taking brewing into the Stratosphere , I have ordered some high alcohol tolerant yeast from England which Martin my Son is bringing for me, with this I can get about 18% alc in my home made wine which is quite satisfactory for yours truly , just thought I would mention the "beer " by way of Interest for all you would be "home producers"

Just by way of an experiment just to satisfy myself on the Alc% content when using bread makers yeast to make wine I made a small batch of 10 litres of Pine apple ,it took longer to ferment out (20 days) due no doubt to the cold spell we have been having here in the North East , I have just tested a sample in my Vino meter which I know for sure is spot on ,its come out at just under 12% with which I was pleasantly surprised at having read all sorts of opinions in various wine making articles , the yeast I used was just ordinary bakers yeast (Angel brand) and at 5 11gramme packets for 70 baht which will make 50 gallon is quite cheap, its a wee bit cloudy as yet ,but that,s normal and it should clear in about another 3 weeks or so ,then I will decanter it and have a see what it tastes like .

I had a glass of Thatcher's Heritage cider yesterday. It was good. I asked the sour faced woman in my local shop if she had a Dickens Cider. She said no. I reckon she'd have been a much happier woman if she had one. (Nice video, by the way, Piwanoi.)

I made a gallon of apple wine about 5 years ago from shop bought cartons of apple juice ,it turned out quite good with an alc content of 12 % if I remember rightly , but nowt like the real stuff back in blighty , I used to quaff draught Strongbow in my local all the time ,never seen any here in my area though .
