    Wine aereators

Just about to order one off Amazon after a friend raved about the transformation a cheap bottle of Mont Blanc from 7/11 goes through.

    Anyone else tried one?

    This is it.........

Fuck me with shipping that's gone up from 30 to 70usd, or 12 litres of plonk.

    Anyone tried one?

What if I add some syrup?

I simply decant the wine into plastic water bottle and let for spell, an hour will do it.
If in a hurry pour the back and forth between bottles a couple times and it's ready to drink.

Yeh Earl, and your cheap wine will be indistinguishable from your other favourite beverage.

Jaune aperitif, prepares the palette for all that is to follow, if your vintage is unpalatable no amount of tech can help

To be charitable he may have meant Aero eaters , Those choc bars of solid Kahlua and 'oles?

I realize iceman is a nice man so we may assume our OP has perhaps popped his cork somewhat early, not all British alcoholics refrain until after brekkie

Nope. I only drink sparkling these days.

It sounds a bit poof but if you want to know if it works do a taste test.

Get someone to pour 1 glass with aerator and 2 without and then see if you can pick which one was done with the aerator.

No need for a test, think about it. If the gizmo worked it would have flattened the wine industry overnight and we would all be buying cheap plonk in cartons.

    Has that happened?
There's your answer no test required.

Well, my friends wife, and she knows her wine, swears by hers.

Sparkling wine gets you tipsy quicker Loops and is poove. I never did like champagne either. It's a different kind of drunk to beer drunk. I like a slow build up rather than all that light headedness.

I will try that taste test though on Charley when the aerator gets delivered. I've ordered one off lazada together with a blindfold and some grape flavoured penis gel

filter it through your wank sock

I used to be a skeptic when it came to wine aerators and always preferred to simply use a standard decanter to let my wine breathe. However, after having tried over 10 of them over the years, I have to admit that wine aerators can be a lot more convenient, and are often able to "open up" wines just as well as traditional decanters.

I just open the bottle an hour before drinking!!

But, one thing my sister had over the New Year. Was a gizmo shaped like an icicle that you freeze. And you pop it into your chilled white to keep it cold. Great invention, especially in a house with a roaring fire burning.

It can be re used. I think she bought it in John Lewis and on her next foray there shall get me one.

    It's called a corkicle.

Decanting should be sufficient so I don't see the reason for buying any gadget. Simply pouring the wine into a decanter will add oxygen and take the bitterness out of a young wine. You can then leave it until it tastes less bitter.
