Bobcock at the Por Tek Thung Foundation temple in Chinatown

I held off posting these for a while whilst I waited to be sure of not being disqualified from the photo contest.

I took these pics at the Por Tek Thung Foundation temple in Yaowarat.

It's not the most exciting temple, but there really is some great photo opportunities in a very small space.

Did you use a tripod or does your camera have a superb anti-shake gizmo? My camera doesn't, so taking pics like this demands a tripod.

Great stuff BC: I liked your original pic posted in the comp so it's nice to see the others in the 'set'...

OT but: I know there has already been some debate about the veracity of some pics posted in the comp and I still think the balloon pic did not match with the rest of the pics in his 'set'...hence no vote from me...

    DB? Dirty Bobcock?

    Thanks for your kind comments.

The last one in the set posted here is altered using the Digital Lomo action I set up in photoshop. I set up two a heavy one and a lite one. This is the lite one. I think it would work well on a few of these pics, but I just did the one as I used the files that are on my website, and that one isn't.

Nice shots, especially like the one of the flame on black... well done. Should have entered that one in my opinion. Course opinions are like assholes everyone has one.

I have an all black phone, that is the wallpaper on it.

It does look good, but i didn't see it as a competition winner.

mind you what sort of judge am I? I didn't win....5555

^ As mentioned in anther thread/post not ALL photos must adhere to the 'rules'. You obviously broke the rule of 3's but the effect is perfect. You've made they eye travel in a perpendicular fashion from bottom, through soft focus to near perfect focus to soft focus again at the top. THE most important aspect of a good shot, the 'traveling'.

The starkness of the contrast is brilliant. Again well done.

    2 pics...2 faces...and not the same face.

The third pic was my entry into the Photo Comp.

When my friend was here recently, he thought I had it totally wrong and that the first pic was a far better shot.

The problem for me is the girl in shot one was posed, she was with me, the guy in the other shot was not (though DD thinks he was). I also liked the hand movement, but my mate said that was too subtle to be striking.

    Ho Hum.
