Thread: Mae Sot

On the Thai side of the Burmese/Thai border, an overnight bus-ride from BKK and also an attractive option for visa runs from upcountry.

A medium size city with a fair proportion of Burmese population, a sprawling local market with interesting food-stuff, a speciality market at the border with Burmese handicrafts and foods, such as dried mushrooms, beans and nuts, and cheap ciggies.
I didn't think about taking pics for general info when I went there last year, so here just a few shots taken from my private videos, so not the best quality:
