Thread: Nan Province

You'll have to turn to the main road to Kun Sathan eventually, here a cornfield in the foreground, and further back "Ton Sak" - hardwood - the trees with the large leaves:

The water level is very low, not much of a rainy season yet:

The 'overflow' dam and area are completely dry:

Anyway, on to the restaurant:

Guess who's been idling the afternoon away there? - the teachers from our neighbouring village:

The missus leaves me to sip SangSom with the kroos and goes off to collect snails:

Some of the land by the reservoir is used for agriculture:

The Pla Gang is almost gone when the Pla Tapthim Tod Gop arrives. Simple, wholesome food, it doesn't come any fresher than this:

I just stumbled across these photos you took from the reservoir near Nanoi in Nan Province (on the road to Khun Satan NP). I am originally from Nanoi that's why I recognized the pics found them so interesting. But I was unaware that we had any Farangs living way up there in the "boondocks."
BTW - I tried to send you a message but the TD system claimed all your message space was used up. My husband and I will be visiting Nan/Nanoi from mid January until mid March 2012.
