    Smile Sunsets in Jomtien

Located just a short 4 hour walk south from Pattaya's Walking Street, the Sunset Village Resort is a cheap, Thai resort in Na Jomtien.

There didn't seem to be much around (apart from the Cartoon Network Waterpark) but we didn't leave the resort anyway.

The rooms looked lovely from the outside. Although dog friendly they're not allowed in the beachside huts so we were a bit further back in the jungle.

Inside was a bit of a throwback. But everything worked and was clean.

I was looking forward to having a bath under the stars at some point but never got round to it.

Lots of grass for the dog to run around and the beach was clean if not particularly appetizing.

Most of the day was spent in the "dipping pool".

And the evening by the beach.

I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic

One of the first places the wife and I stayed at circa 1994. Nothing else was there. Off Sukumvit and in there was nothing and it became a dirt road. We started taking our kids there in 97 and continued up to 2000 when nicer and further away places beckoned.

Completely clear from the title, yes, of course it is.

Hope you get some great sunsets on your trip then.

In future, one might wish to take a cursory look at the contents of a thread before replying to it.

You mean the whole single post of content? Yes, I will. Thank you for the awesome advice, that’s really helpful.

It's not really a pattaya thread unless there's marauding katoeys stealing the Indians wallets, balcony jumpers, inept chickenheads, Turds bobbing by on cerulean seas. That sort of thing. A bit confusing that thread title

Yep just a quick glance at a single post would have done.

Last time we stayed in Jommers, we stayed in Amazon residence (or Amazon something) due to the massive winding pool that goes all around it with little enclaves etc for the kid to explore and play hiding games etc.

Staying in the Amazon, while in Thailand, is mindblowing.

It was pre-Covid, at night it was obvious that there was around 10% occupancy for the entire complex and For Sale/Rent signs in Russian on pretty much every unit.

Met up with a TD'er and came away with a car boot full of pies.

It's got a big "NO CHILDREN ALLOWED" announcement on booking. Com

Plenty of nicer places around than where we stayed but at short notice, half term and with a dog it was great.

^^There seem to be a few of those ridiculous places in Pattaya.

Another has a 'pirate ship' theme.

    Pass.

Briefly considered that place! But having the dog in an apartment would be a pain in the arse.

He did mention a last-minute day before notice from the leccy company that their area will be without electricity for a large part of the weekend, I believe.
