Exactly three weeks after applying for the daughter's Aussie passport in Bangkok, it arrived today.

And that included a short delay because the original photo was knocked back.

They even posted it to our house, rather than insisting on a personal pick-up as required for UK passports at Trendy.

I'm not really sure how I feel about having two bloody Aussies in the household but so long as the daughter knows which cricket team to support I guess I can put up with it... I have to accept that Australia will give her more opportunities than post-Brexit Britain.

Imagine how they feel having a Brit in the house.

^^And unlike UK passports it is blue, and printed in home country.

It must be the only passport in the world that has an image of a previous enemy that defeated their army in a war on it.


It's akin to the French passport having an image of Lord Nelson on it.

Or the American passport a picture of a little Asian rice farmer.
