How did you work out your problem with the deposits? I am curious because I transfer money to Thailand by Wise. Will have to stop doing it if it is not acceptable.

I msged them via Instagram several times and kept sending them copies of my transfers that were being posted Local . I found it better than email . What they did was tag my account to only transfer to Bangkok Bank . They know the problem , they also know the situation we are in . If you make a transfer and its in your account instant you are more likley to have a problem with that transfer . I did speak with Immigration when I did my ext , they too are aware of the problem and they told me that if it shows Local transfer , you must go to the branch that got the original transfer and get a letter stating its FTT . Personally I dont want to have to do that its difficult enough as it is . I did make a test transfer a few days ago after they tagged my account and it came thorugh as FTT . I also did one with Money Gram , there exchange is a little lower and there fee is a little more , but you will get FTT every time , the fee was only 6 dollars more than Wise and the rate was only 3 stan less than Wise .. But takes 7 days to post .... Hope this helps ,,,,

Hope the "new normal" also means china keeps their busloads of loud, obnoxious tourists at home.

    Unlikely, though one can wish.
    Dream on.
Yep, not sure if "build back better" actually means anything — the term is being used around the world.

    Anyone have an idea?

You're quoting yourself, asking yourself if what you say is true.

    Special.

It's not the people, though, it's the government and its policies. In general the people have very little to do with 'expats', so there's not enough experience to dislike them.
