    That's the place Fondles.

It's in Jomtien. It's about 2k a night inc. the extra fee for the dog. Chilled vibes, beach is nice enough. Some nice restaurants within walking distance

    This is The Glass House.

Exactly, paying a premium because it is a caravan rather than comfort or quality.

Sleep in a van or in an apartment with two bedrooms and a (small) private pool for the same price.

And if you have a car you can stay a little way away from the beach and get a bigger place.

    Or a house.

Really, I just can't see how a caravan matches it.

Each to his own though, obviously.

No beer sales on the beach so had to improvise. These beer covers are an absolute bargain.

We spent the days flipping between the beach and the AC in the caravan.

I tried that BBQing thing. Not really my thing.

I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic

    Most places won't allow dogs.

A private pool doesn't give the kid the opportunity to make friends and play with people.

Driving to the beach is a pain in the arse.

The caravan is more than comfortable and it's something a bit different to enjoy.

Yeah, I can see that a kid and dog make a difference.

I can also understand why Samed is a good choice, at least without the dog.

On a beach like Tub Tim, junior is free to do as she wants all day.

Samed and Tub Tim is pretty much ideal for our circumstances.

When I was a kid our summer holidays were always spent in a caravan in Lyme Regis... friends of the parents owned it. It brings back some very fond memories.

I think the kids change everything for this sort of thing. It's half way to camping and just stepping out onto the beach must be pretty exciting for them.

The caravan owner next to us decided to emty the septic tank and opened the valve without placing a receptacle at the end of the pipe! Idiot!

Luckily there are onsite facilities too so my wife and daughter aren't subjected to my morning routine.

Gotta agree with Sybzy. Would go for a 2 bedroom apartment for around the same money every time. Unless it had some sort of novelty factor for the kid.

In which case they could stay in the caravan and I'd bugger off to me nice apartment and get some proper kip.

    Nice to see though, cheers.

The bathroom in a caravan is nice to have at night though in the daylight it is more comfortable to use the onsite restrooms. Also being shut in that little closet sitting on the toilet taking a shower is a tight squeeze.

Pretty sure I've been to that restaurant. It looks the same as it was 10 years ago

Do you have any idea how many thousands of restaurants there are just like that on the coast in Thailand?

I hope not! For the life of me I can’t figure out what two people could do in a camper bathroom. Barely room for one!
