It did have a swimming pool on board along with a slide, 2 jetskis, snorkels, rubber rings and a floating bouncy castle.

Except the drive to the airport, check in, waiting, then fly, then bags, then taxi. Yup...3 hours or more.

    I concur

Enjoyed a family trip to Koh Samet myself a couple of years ago...

Contrary to Teakdoor consensus Koh Samed has not quite gone to the dogs, just yet..

The Ban Phe debarkation point for the Island is however a shit hole.

The place to purchase ones white knuckle ride to the island has a heavy doggie presence, maybe they dream to be on the Isle of Dogs..

This mut is guarding the ticket touts..

This mut is guarding the speed boat fuel..

This mut is keeping an eye on the 3baht a piss pot..

This mut is keeping it's boggy eyes on the idle litter patrol..

And this mut is making sure that Somchai and his gang of shipwrights do a decent repair job on the 60baht slow boat..

No cheap charlieing for us on this trip...

Meet Tommy the Thai panda, he gets about...

Speed boat direct to the beach in front of our resort, had to get our feet wet and carry our bags across the beach to check in.

Family room with four beds for 1600baht a night again, seems to be the going rate on our trip all over Thailand..

Checkpoint Somchai on the main drag making sure all tourists pay the entrance fee to the national park, you have to show your receipt whenever you pass.

I paid the 240baht fee just as my first foot hit the surf.
Did think it was a "trip" having a soldier in full combat gear approach me for a park entrance fee the moment we got off the boat.

More dog pics are needed because this is the Isle of Dogs that has apparently gone to the dogs...

Gate crashed Johny and Jammys(she was Jammy) wedding one night, nearly got set alight by fireshow nutters another then found a paradise on the west side of the island, had a full moon party that ended at 9pm coz the kids were tired but we all got glow painted up,some mega body surfing and not forgetting a day in a hippy commune.

Had to have a mellow one as it was getting hard on the sauce every night with the two other families we met up with from home, Cars2 with a few snacks..

    Hippy in a hammock

    Check out the hand..

It's a full moon and the glow paint is flowing..

This little hovel was ok for a night..

A few more pics from Koh Samet..

Jimmy and Jammy's beach wedding party preparations..

    The Whale has landed.
What a god awful din the woman on the mic was making.
    The happy couple..

Hotel porters transporting supplies from the mainland..

    A couple more dog pics..

This one used to chase the fish in the shallow surf every morning..

Nice lunch and view of a mother having her arm pit hairs plucked by her devoted daughters ..

A nice scenic shot to round off the thread..

I don't see colour or race man, I'm an all inclusive type of guys.

There was a lot less spitting on the beach though.

    Enjoyed the fire show.

And the beach where she met the love of her life. I'll have to kill him now, obviously.

Watching Tom and Jerry in bed now. #RockAnd/OrRoll
I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic
