Of Monks and Monkeys at Muang-On Cave.

Arrived home to hear that Sproglette had done a Lulu and skived the day off school with a sick big toe, or some such impressive claim of flummery. Obviously it had worked, so after sorting me sheet out we might as well head off to someplace for the afternoon.

Deep caving seems to be the kid's fashion these days round these parts. No way that can go wrong.

Up to Muang-On cave near Sankhampaeng Hot Springs.

    Little fokers.

Wouldn't budge. Didn't really want kiddo to hear them pop under the wheels before entering the car through the exhaust system and savagely slaughtering us, so had to creep around a few of the koonts.

Don't forget to mash in a few yabaa pills.

    Needy little shits.

MM coulda ended up dragged off and eaten some of them main ones weren't given their fill.

    yabaa pill spotted.

    This week's exercise done.

Everyone had shaky legs by the time we got back down.

Really need me guitar to get some Acca Dacca going.

    Amazing Thailand.

I dunno, for some reason I expected the entrance to be a bit more open, and a bit less Anne Frank-ish.

Made sure to smile at Somchai the Torch Vendor so he wouldn't padlock us in for the night.

Really opens up after you crawl vertically down the first 100 meter ladder/steps.

    Sent Manny 100thb.

Not sure where that will really end up though.

Whisky, drugs or women would be my guess.

Speaking of which the Ol' Mateys showed up.

Nice and cool. Which is just as well as you'll be sweating yer nads off after climbing up the steps to the entrance.

A big carved and shiny staligmite, stallagmite, stagillmight, rock. A shiny rock.

    a, ummm, lion.

Vegetable patch for the next fokwit that gets a group of kids stuck.

    More like it.

ah shure who doesn't like a bit o' ball sucking.

    Little fokers.

Good place for an easy half day if up and around Chiang Mai.

^ did you hear running water down there? Think to bring some fluorescent sticks with you?

The thought of the little fooking monkeys on yaba did give me a chuckle....

Just noticed, there a place for a padlock on the inside of the door.

Just in case, you know, you want to padlock yourself in.

Nice. Those monkeys are a nightmare when they surround you, you have to watch the bastards they'll have you strip searched in seconds.

Happened to me Ol' Dear at Lopburi around 10 years ago. Pretty sure they made off with a camera, wallet and watch.
