    Caravanning in Thailand

On Monday we set off for the rather pleasant drive to Rayong to stay at Brookside Resort. (https://www.brookside.co.th/)

We'd booked a caravan because a) it looked fun and b) they allowed dogs.

    Lets hope the images work...

The dogs first road trip... she was soon moved into the back...

    The accommodation

I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic

Inside is rather small. it is a caravan... can't be arsed editing the mirror of my face.

There's a fridge, AC, toilet, shower, CD player and TV.

    Looks nice....

No BBQ or such to cook on? That's part of the experience I thought.

How did your dog get on there?

Get a free BBQ in the booking so that's what we had.

I bought some food with me to cook...

we ate and drank until it was dark

Daughter chose a privacy bed, until she pissed herself at 2am and climbed into bed with us.

There's an "adventure" park with climbing and stuff but we never got around to it. Quick walk around Strawberry Town and daughter wanted to hit the pool.

These were for sale for about 1.4million baht.

free BBQ set included in the price. Dog loved it. Luckily other dogs nearby were very friendly.

In the caravan. Although there were nicer/bigger showers and toilets near the pool.

That looks heaps of fun for a family with dog!

^ Those bathrooms in the campers are too small. You can on the toilet and shower at the same time.

    ???
In fact, I do firstly the one and the other later, never at the same time... (sometimes later repeating one and/or the other...

Nice one. My wife was talking about something similar the other day and I've randomly started seeing caravans around the place recently.

We stayed in one at the beach in NZ over Xmas last year and to my surprise my wife loved it and now wants to buy one.

How's the classic caravan market in cm?

Are there any modifications in the chemical dunny that are in vogue?

Sparse to non-existent would be my guess.

Fucked if I'd buy one here anyways that has major hassle written all over it. She wants to get one in Enz Zud.

    Definitely.

Remember a couple of years ago when the cops were in a tizzy about motorhomes coming over from the northern borders?

That was the most popular example of foreigners 'just not playing fair by saving too much money' for a while.

Seems to have died as a news story.

Oh yeah that's right, I had forgotten about that actually.

I saw a couple trundling around CM at the time and did think it wouldn't end well (literally and/or figuratively).

Cool holiday, reminds me of of North Wales.

Didn't realise they did caravan holidays in Thailand.

What sort of prices are we looking at?

Been to the Brookside a few times, well recommended. We had our company New Year party there a few years ago. I never knew they had caravan accommodation there.

The adventure park and climbing wall is great for kids, that's a good day out all on it's own.
