Was a pretty good live band on after that.

Worth going there for at least one night.

Though just not for the quality of food.

Ya can't beat a morning dip.

Really glad I bought that GP now.

A Hot Spring (there's plenty of them about up that way) on the way to CM. Along with a fake Khmer temple.

Made a plan for a trip up to Chiang Rai for Christmas as I have a mate coming in. 6 nights. Chiang Rai to Pu Chee Fah for the views and real cold. Then on to Chiang Khan for a nice relaxing day on the Mekong. Then follow the Mekong to Mae Sai, and tour some caves. Then up to Doi Tung for some temples and botanical gardens for the night. One last night in Chiang Rai and check out the White Temple again in the morning and fly home. With the wife along there is going to be a lot of Khao Soi eaten. Really looking forward to it.

Was going to go to the southern islands but they have priced themselves out of my plans during the holidays. Double last year. The idea they can make up for a low season with few tourists by double charging is foolish. The north is offering great deals at this time..

Lucky was getting a notice on a one day only sale from Avis up there. Brand new 2019 Camry with the new body style for 949 baht a day. Plenty of power to get up the steep mountain inclines, plus just a real nice car.

Not so steep there as the last section up to Doi Intanon...(as Luigi can surely vouch for)

    ^ Cool place.

Last time I went for a ride up there I was shivering, with teeth chattering, and freezing me bollox off.

Nice place for a bit o' rummaging about for a few days.

Didn't bother going in this time.

The Thai lane was empty (free), the Foreign Scum lane (100thb) was full of Chinese Virus Carrying Death-Bots, as was the queue to get the ticket, to join the death-queue to enter.

Back to the car to put on some Slipknot and aircon so the Hamster wasn't baked to perfection was quite preferable.
