Bleedin' Nora there are some freaks up that way.

From an old white fella sporting full native american attire, to the monged out, unwashed freaks mumbling along the road with bare feet and month old sweat. The fashion with the hippy backpacker lot nowadays appears to be crap tattoos done with a biro and needle, and going around almost entirely naked and completely unwashed, with the crappiest facial piercings they could muster. And the lad with nothing on but colorful patchwork dungarees. Didn't quite work, that.

Also surprising was the amount of dirty looks we got from Western chicks as soon as they saw me with a Thai girl.

The general bodyshape of the unwashed masses appeares to be drawn from the Dillinger Whale diet.

Maybe they're all lazy foks that eat lard on bread before bed back home now or something. They were certainly jiggly as they moved.

Outstanding Ride there Ol LuLu. You should toss some moto pics in it, or in your case Scooter.

I was getting ready to post the R3 for sale but wifey poo said No, I will ride it and you can ride the RVF.

Yeah, always has been an unwashed hippy mecca. Guess it's either more surprising when you haven't been around them in a decade or so, or they've evolved into an even higher state of moldiness.

    Everyone loves a picture thread...

Pai looks very nice - good photos, but I've always considered it a place to avoid due to wanky foreigners with facial piercings and bad-tempered drunk Thai policeman.

    Very nice, cheers.

Would do that next time. Only gonna go there again when riding solo, 2 up on a Ninja 650 just ain't as much fun in the twisties as alone on a 400 ninjette.

2012. Had it for a few years. Cost less than the 400. Mainly used when doing Bkk-CM or riding 2 up.

stopped at Pai on my yearly road trip last July, have avoided stopping there for the past 10 years but figured i would try it

    was impressed
great deals on hotels, loved walking street and the varied inexpensive food an lovely counrtyside
Was traveling with a friend and he was interested enough to check out some land prices, not overall expensive; 3kms outside town less than 600,000/rai.7+ kms outside on the river 350-500,000

BUT even being low season it had to many tourists for me
cant even imagine what its like in Dec- March

^ Yeah, I wondered about land prices too.

Asked the chick if she thinks land is cheap or expensive. Expensive was her guess though. Due to there being an airport, rich Bangkonians would buy it up and build their weekend holiday home in the mountains etc.
