^ Wow, that was reminiscent of Harrison Ford in The Fugitive.

Unfortunately they don't offer an IV service.

Up along to Mae Wang, 40 or so KM out past Hang Dong.

Down to check out the Grade 7 rapids

    We all need sustenance.

Gai Yang with side of nasal stick and dysentery.

    With some extra protein.
I don't mind a little ant. Taste like lemon.

Wish you'ld say the same about.....

Wrong time of the year for this type of event as most of you are aware, so basically a waste of time.
However, try the same route towards the end of the rainy season or just post rainy season ie Sept-Nov, and it's a whole heap of fun.

Thank you Luigi. You are an intrepid inspiration, you are.

What a lovely little way to chill for a few hours.

Great motorbike ride up to Mae Wang. With around 20km to go you begin to enter the Cretaceous. Going around a bend you wouldn't be one bit surprised to see a herd of Brachiosaurus gently grazing. If they existed in the Cretaceous. Which they mightn't have done.

Warm skies, cool jungle river, elephants, bamboo raft, slowly floating along to the pure sounds of nature, being able to pee without pulling down your shorts.

    A lil' Chiang Mai must.

They keep your bag and shoes at the hut, and drive you up to the starting point.

    500 baht.

Up from 400 baht the last time I went, around the same time as Luigi the OP did it.

    I was fokin' furious.

Late Jurassic, so you would have missed them by several million years.

If you head down to Isaan though, you can see present day Neanderthals.
