Yes, where you are coming from but going to my gaff far more difficult.

Now the BIB are setting up under the flyover in front of The Venue where they are in the shade and out of the rain.

I did find a place in Patpong but it was a tad more pricey than Phuket.
2nd Rd few doors against traffic from Tim's, soi Bukau almost opposite LKM and from there just after the chicane toward Central, and probably loads more because too much money to be made for these to be the only exceptions.

And very smart to bury your true interests in an innocuous thread, nobody will notice.

Thanks for the good oil on the license fellas.

...although this is extremely bad news and bunch of dead dogs cocks.

Is massage honey on the money about them only doing stops on weekdays?

Maybe not worth the risk anyways...

It'll be busy on the roads this weekend as Monday is a National holiday. It's coming up to the New Year too so the rozzers will be out in force IMHO.

If you wouldn't have bribed a copper you would have a ticket now saying you have 7 days to show your IDP meaning you could have ridden around and just showed that ticket to anyone who stopped you, possibly

If i were you though, I'd be more concerned about whether you are now uninsured and would dump the bike.

Not long ago since LT was saying how his Aussie licence was good indefinitely for Thailand, and I was trying to tell him otherwise.

Have you changed your tune, LT?

Legally speaking it is only good for the 1st year living somewhere after which there is an expectation that you nationalise your driving license. I don't think the insurance companies have clearly thought about this law as other wise there would be a lot of "no pay, you no have Thai licence" letters winging their way to long term western immigrants in Thailand following claims.

You are way ahead of me on this one Dill and I defer to your infinite wisdom.

I have ditched the mocy and have taken to the baht bus like a fish to water.

I have never been on one before but they are great.

Nice deep rouge gloss on the impeccably clean feet of tonight's massage lady, the lovely Aen.

This license extortion is bad news for Thailand as my holiday destination of choice, Phuket, would be garbage of you were stuck in Patong all day every day. Going for a scoot round the island on the bike is part of the whole deal. Does this license bullshit now extend to all of Thailand or is it mainly in Pattaya?

I wonder of I just got lucky on my world cup tour of Phuket this year by never getting stopped but I have been stopped many times in Phuket on previous trips and never a bother but that was all more than 4 years ago.

What is the point of it? Having a piece of paper saying IDP does not make you a better driver. Unless it is to disqualify punters from crap countries where the driving test is a joke.

KLF recommended this to me in 2013 and she was on the money. The sleep of the gods. But so far only the pharmacy in Patpong has come through so I might swing by again on my way out.

Might struggle with them - hard core sleeping pills really are rarely sold in pharmacies there. Did you ask for them by their brand name Ambien? Fascino would probably have them, but you might need to pop into a clinic, cough up a 100 baht for a script and then get them.

The only ones I have ever found in Thailand are generic with arabic writing on the strip. The ones in Patpong were called Zolf.

Not a big deal. I have a good doctor in Aussie and she lets me have some now and again if I have been a good boy.

I might even be able to get Persian GPGF to get me some. I have not broached this delicate idea with her yet.

This young lady from Khorat used to work in the Black Cat Bar in Karon Beach. Small world. I was led to the Black Cat by the Badoo profile of the boss mamasan 6 months ago. But she was not as cute as her profile pic when I rocked up on my mocy (with my Australian license).

    My new ride sans mocy.

    A Promenade round Pattaya-pc103047-jpg

The only down-side of not having mocy so far is that walking along a dark soi I felt something squishy underfoot. Before the pungent aroma hit my nose I already knew the worst.

I am blaming this sphinx like mut outside the Family Mart. Butter would not melt in that mouth.

^Top shopping work as always Dill

I stuck the pin in the donkey's arse tonight with my GPS live baht-bus position tracker and got off my new favourite mode of transport at what turned out to be Soi Post Office.

Where lo and behold I struck pharmaceutical gold.

Not one but two apothecaries stocked up not only on Zolpidem but also Clonazepam and Diazepam.

Bad news. The Zolpidem was double the price of Phuket and 30% more than in Patpong so I still had to give it a miss.

    Clonazepam and Diazepam were cheap.

And here, fine fellows, is the good oil for anybody on a shopping trip...

    Theo's near Pattaya Sai Song

    A Promenade round Pattaya-pc113079-jpg

And Premier at the other end near beach road...

    A Promenade round Pattaya-pc113081-jpg

I went on another shopping trip of my own afterwards and now need to colour in Namibia on my map'o'teh'world

    A Promenade round Pattaya-pc113088-jpg

I am guessing left hand side about half way up...

    Turn left at The Gambia...

    ?

Actually I just remembered isn't that the country that Top Gear did the road trip with the huge coastal desert so it would be down a bit from Ivory Coast ... still left hand side...

    Sorry for the thread diversion.

I'll need to have a wisdom tooth out in the coming months, last time I did it, the root was into the jaw bone, which shattered and splintered into me gums as is was been cracked and levered out, and was, to say the least, absolutely fookin' agony for 5 days.

Next time I want happy drugs, buckets and buckets of the best happy drugs known to man, that will see me happily in cloud cuckoo land for a week or three. Deliriously happy in me bed would fine.

    Names of drugs please.

    Cheers.

Looper's drugs are not for pain relief, they are for calming, sedating and knocking out the ladies and possibly bloke with those size 10's up there, so he can fuck their toes

Tramadol is an opiod based painkiller that will put you in cloud cuclkoo land.
