    2018 Trip part deux.-1530545144175-jpg

    Minibus to airport
Driver was a pal off our usual guy, nice tidy looking bus cleaned throughout and had full ice box, water and beers at the ready.

No1 is the sort of place i like to eat away from the 100 baht moo gob served in the farang bars.
Especially with views of brass like that.

No2 is Wat Klang on the lake.

    3 & 4 |Night market
    Nice tat that burd has.

    5 ?

6 Gai yang shop (i used to work in one like that)
Hope you tried the Lao som tam.
Good to see Bruce is still alive.

Very good observational skills there mate.

Number 1 is Somtam Internet which is on Lonely Planet and gets rave reviews. My Missus loved it too and she's fussy with her 15 chili somtam
That girl wasn't a brass, her boyfriend was following behind and gave me a right filthy look. If you notice them 2 in the shop knew he was coming

Number 6 was indeed Gai Yang Rabeab and also on Lonely Planet. Best chicken i've eaten here, lovely crispy skin. I saw another one in Kow Yai too.

Number 5- the panna cotta dessert, you recommended that place and it was superb

    Pomodoro
Bolognaise pizza with added salami in there, splashed all over with tabasco.

Nice town that Khon Kaen, best one I've visited in Isaan so far, had everything, Rolex, Vespa, Central Mall and nightlife which I missed unfortunately.

Glad you got around and liked some of the recommended places and enjoyed it,
    Shame you didnt do Villa
How much weight you would of lost on that 2km round trip

Pompadoro is run by an italian and his mother, been there years now, good italian traditional food, I loved the tuna onion and chilli pizza.

It's got those small black crabs in it
Smells like a sewage drain in hot season
And the chilies knocks the tits offya.

Stick with the Thai version great with the Gai Yang.

    Feel for you
God knows where mine sources it from here but that smell,
I rush into kitchen nearly gagging open all the windows put the hob extractor on full and she gives me shit for overreacting

In Berties bar in Thailand she dug up about 5kg of bamboo roots and brought them home in the cases.
