As do Thai 380s upstairs, but the economy section is smaller. Thai 330-300 are all twins along the windows

Total opposite, love the whole experience of getting there be it by planes, trains or automobiles- and ferries, my preferred mode of transport around the globe. Looks like a very decent bar, Jack

Was talking to a Chinese couple today about a train trip around China we did, must be almost 15 years ago. Boat up the Mekhong from Chiang Rai to near Kunming. Then train up and around to Beijing and Dalian, ferry then train down the coast to I think Fujian, and flight back to Thailand. Did it over around 3-4 weeks. Hard to beat sitting at your table drinking Tsingtao, watching endless rural Chinese countryside roll by, while being served by the waitresses and losing money to Chinese cardsharks.

    Anyway, great thread Jack. Cheers.

Was thinking of going home like that once.

Train from South Vietnam, up through the North and onto Beijing, then across.

Had 2 mates fly back to London once then train to Edinburgh. They said the train was about the same price as the flights.
