Along the main 'strip' where most tourists hang, there are quite a few that overlook the river, 3 star-ish

    Hope this is useful!

The map makes it look quite extensive but the whole city centre is fairly small.

This main 'strip' goes as far as the Allied war cemetry, starting not too far from the Kwai bridge itself.

I've circled the extent of this street, along the river. Decent pizza places, bakery, Mangosteen restaurant is worth a visit.

Where it starts, there are a few newer places for around 1700-2400 a night, river views.

There's always Hop Inn, which is 10mins by bike from there. Run by the Erawan Group, at 650 a night, everything is new, clean and well run.

Jungle resorts are literally on the river and not too expensive.

    Wat Ban Tham

Make sure you walk up to that gold buddha at the top.

And it's not crowded with selfie takes like the tourist temple further up the hill nearby.
They are too lazy to walk up.

You'll see a few wheezing unfit farangs on their way up too
