The family were very exited about these trees. They say these fruit are special. And good to eat.

This fallen log was becoming one with the rocks. I guess getting covered in limestone.

This was up on the second area. You can see a couple of guys there to give it some scale truly worth the effort to get here. I have never seen such lush and for the most part untouched forest-jungle before.

It's always fun to take a trip to Bhumibol Dam about a 30 minute drive from the village. Not including stop offs at temples along the way.

The water level was pretty low this day. I've heard you can reach down and touch the water some years during rain season.

There are boat tours down the hill there. I have been on a short trip before it's quite nice.

The business end. It would be fun to take a walk around down there.

Here is a view down stream towards Tak.

This was on the way out at a view point. You can see those two huge pipes on the left side I guess those are for overflow. It would be pretty cool to see those in action.

After getting butt hurt on a deal to buy a piece of land near the village we headed back down to Patters. With a few weeks left on our holiday we decided to do a few day trips. These pictures are from a drive down to Si Racha and Bang Sean.

Saw this old truck and dog trying to find a small road to the sea.

We found our way down to the water and walked around this fishing area. Lots of cool old wooden boats.

Down the beach a bit there was a large area of pines and the locals had there operations set up there in the shade.

There were two or three guys there building these wood boats.

    It was an impressive setup.

Nap time after picking net all morning.

There were a lot of ladies there picking crab meat. Back in the Annapolis crabbing is "was" a big industry. I worked on a crab boat for years now a lot of the meat is imported from countries like Thailand.

Heading out to drop off a bit of net. They were back to shore in no time.

That sun protection is a bit scary. Does anyone know what all those floats are in the distance. It went on for miles and the wife didn't want to ask anyone what it was. I thought it might be fish pens or pound nets.

There were lots of these birds around plenty of leftovers to eat.

I have seen these squirrels around before but this year I saw quite a few more around. I saw them all around during our travels.

We have a problem, here in the UK, with the American grey squirrel. They are trying to control them because our native Reds are diminishing rather rapidly.
    Excellent read/photos, thanks for sharing.
