Nice pictures Terry, lovely quiet part of Samui, far from the night life.

When I take my Handbag on a road trip we just do all the Tourist stuff. I consider myself a Permanent tourist living in Thailand. That's what i am and that's all I want to be. First stop next day was The Big Buddha. First time here was 1987.
^^
Yes for sure, really great beach and quiet. It was low season though.
I would never go to any of these places in High Season.
There were a few Tourists there but not to many, mostly on tours. In and out quite quick. Not long after this pic they all disappeared. Good stuff.
So we climb the steps, this pic is looking down onto Bangrak beach on the far right. The pier send punters off to Phan-Ghan and Tao Islands.
These Off road tours are huge business, there must of been at least 20 trucks full of tourists rock in just as we rocked out.
Onya Darlink. My Handbag absolutely loves our road trips, I've taken her to see her own country. It's brilliant.
The Monks had taken spelling lesson from a German.
My Handbag is only a small girl so needs a feed very frequently. I'm quite Hi-So, it's only the best dining establishments i take her to.
Only top of the class Noodle soup is to be found in these fine dining rooms.
So we bang around the Island and end up at the View looking over Chawang Beach. Fuk Me, what a shit hole Chawang is, still a very fine beach but Chawang its self is a seething Toilet.
Samui is only 58 KLM around so it's just an easy drive to cut a lap. First time I have had a car in Samui. It made a world of difference being able to putt around in comfort. One of my favorite markets on Samui is the night market in the main town of Nathon. Lots of things going on here, Handbag needed feeding again.

Nice big Chicken leg in there Darlink.
Very nice pics kaa ..thanks for sharing...last pic make me hugry...
I really like this pic. These 3 kids had found a farangs wallet and had taken it to the local police station. The cops tracked the farang down and returned it. Great story. Great local Kids. I shot this at Nathon night market.
I've been to Samui quite a few times and know that there are many great isolated spot to be had. Tourists never see these though. It's still a great island if you are in the know. This is one.
Ya just don't stumble across this place, it's a little hidden gem.
In the same area i found this original classic. Love this stuff.
Right next door was this farang mansion, I seen the owner cleaning the Balcony. It's in the middle of no where. No wonder she is selling up.
An out of the way Wat. Something strange on the Top Balcony.
In this part of Samui there are a few very nicely done isolated resorts. Fantastic beach front locations away from the masses of Chawang and Lamai.
We all hear the old crusty coonts saying this. " Ya should of been here 30 years ago, Samui was paradise, it's fooked up now. " Well I say bolliks to that bullshit. In the next few pics I'll prove my point. Here we go. I was there 30 years ago mind you.
