Very unhappy about treatment from Thai immigration git

travelled from swampy to london yesterday and was manhandled by an official and want to complain but not sure how to or whether its worth it at all. a couple of weeks back hotel staff lost our arrival/departure cards when we checked in - no biggie I thought I'll just fill in another one when we depart. did that and joined the queue. when we got to the desk the guy dealing with us was very impatient and claimed i hadnt filled in a form for my daughter ( i had) and sent us out of the queue to fill one in. we went to walk off and wifey then pointed out to the cnut that we had filled one out. at this point he lost the plot and ordered us to walk past him and speak to a guy sat at a desk behind the kiosks. as i went to walk off he gave me a good shove in the back for good measure. was gobsmacked by this and thu wifey told the guy sat at the desk that I wanted his colleagues name to make a complaint. it was by then obvious that the guy who shoved me was quite senior and this undeling refused to give us the guy's name. i refused to leave without the guy's name. good make out through conversation between the undeling and my wife that he was making excuses for his boss (mee kon lie etc etc). he then went on to say that if i persisted to ask his boss's name then there might be problems for us next time we went to thailand. bear in mind that time was getting on and i had a 5 year old who desperately needed a pee. so walked off in disgust. really not happy with this but unsure how to proceed. i know its unlikely ill even get a response , let alone anything come of it but the other part of me wont let this go. advice appreciated!!

You should have taken a picture of the guy. He would have caved in then. They don't like losing face but sometimes you just have to squash the little bastards.

And then they could have made it that more difficult. With a little kid on-board I'd let it go.

Yes, I agree that the child would have made me act differently. On my own however I do not allow myself to be bullied. Last November a little twerp insisted I put my mobile number on my entry card. I said "no". He got into a semi-rage, I told him, "Mai mee". Dopey sod had to let me go.

you have obviously suffered a great hurt, and are possibly even the victim of a hate crime.

are you a disciple of mohammed, or perhaps a wheelchair bound transgender double amputee homosexual of the negroid persuasion.

these days times are hard for minorities who are sadly regularly subjected to profiling by those in positions of authority for no other reason but to embarrass and provoke.

i would seek immediate counselling or you may in the future suffer the horrors of post traumatic stress disorder.

Put them in uniform and they get above their station.
Had similar shit at the thai cambo border coming back in.
Bastard tried to refuse me entry for some reason.
Gave him some details and he sent me to another queue
with a big pointy finger showing all how much authority he had.
    Comical really, All entertainment.

Water under the bridge. The more you hold onto it, the longer the cnut wins.

HOWEVER, if you encounter that situation again do something totally off the wall like fake a seizure, stare menacingly and say nothing for 5 minutes, fake ignorance/display confusion at everything he says, etc.

Just make his day as difficult as he's making yours.

I would take it further as there would be a video of the incident. Fuck letting him get away with that shit.

a complaint to the immigration department would achieve absolutely nothing other than the complainant being flagged for "special treatment" next time he showed his face at the airport.

a video of the incident, taken by the complainant and posted on facebook or u-tube or wherever these things are posted may slightly embarrass them and could result in the immigration officer being called to account if the video achieved some sort of viral status which, given the relatively harmless and imsignificant nature of the incident, is highly unlikely. the officers involved probably had a good laugh about it over a curry and beer after work that day.

seeing as there was no video taken, it would be best to shut up, forget about it and move on with your life. you werent shot, beaten up or beheaded and other than a minor dent to your pride you were completely unscathed by this minor inconvenience, so whats the big deal.

you were hassled by an immigration officer with a sore head, thats all.

Take it too the media, there would be it good chance it was caught on camera but most likely they would lose it.
I agree nothing would likely happen to the little turd but better than saying nothing, just because you weren't shot or beheaded doesn't mean you don't have the right or the power to complain about your treatment.

Unfair shit like that happens everyday in LOS (land of sin).

It's the price you pay for unlimited flange, warm weather, cheap delicious food, etc.

    It's a trade-off.

Justice for another gormless, inferior, farang, is not top of their agenda. They feel you are so lucky to enter their wondrous Kingdom, you should prostrate yourself beneath the Thais - and endure any mild hardships for the mere privilege.

Not bitter, just honestly how I see it.

(Didn't mean you are gormless mate - just embellishing my argument)

^ That being said, to be fair - I was always treated with respect by the authorities there. I wonder if your attitude may have brought things upon yourself?

If not, all good... just asking if that's possible.

I get treated better by Thai immigration than NZ immigration, that's for sure.

I brought back 4 Diesel watches from Japan, NZ imm made a big deal about it, asking why I had so so many watches...

I told them I bleedin' well like watches, just cuz I'm a Kiwi brother, doesn't mean I must walk around barefoot without a watch...
Pissed my missus off as well (and she is the most tolerant, patient person on earth).. never seen Mrs Dick curse and squeal (outside the bedroom)..
So it's possible or even likely, the events happened exactly as he presented them.

Just unlucky mate... I'll give you a free Dickie tip... with Thais, if someone is rude to you, instead of getting visibly angry, be ever so polite to them - using all the polite Thai words you can...

Krup Prom... Khun Tun, ga-ru-na, etc... words reserved for dealing with your lawyer when he is paying off the judge...*don't ask.. long story.

Anyway, it makes them sound disgusting and wrong by using their beautiful Thai language in such a low-class manner.. and highlights your good nature to refrain from following suit.

Anal ones, please desist from correcting my phonetic interpretation of Thai words (Thai karaoke English)...khun/kun/khon yada yada...

I agree with NZdick...keeping the moral high ground is the best way to go. And ultimately the most satisfying, when they start to look like mannerless idiots.
