Ban Chang - Had Nam Rin Beach

Ban Chang is around 45km from Pattaya and has 3 nice beaches, Had Nam Rin Beach, Phayun Beach and Phala Beach, this is Had Nam Rin, ie Nam Rin Beach, if you turn right when you get to the beach there is a small resort there and of course a Thai seafood restaurant on the beach, the beach where the restaurant is is kept spotless, sadly to either side it is quite badly littered.

Anyway as you can see, during the week it is empty, no beach vendors, no jet-ski, no para-sail, ie peace and quiet if that's what your looking for, weekends it gets busy with Thais but that's mainly the restaurant areas.

Had Nam Rin at high tide.

Bit of arty farty stuff on the rocks, behind here is a small childrens playground, might keep the kids amused for an hour or so.
Also the car park is here and there are a few shacks in the car park serving Thai food and also drinks.

This is the Romsom Restaurant and resort, the resort is set back up on the hill a little bit, not sure if they have sea views as the front of the beach is full of trees.

    Phone number 038 630 194

The outdoor dining area of the Romsom Resort, obviously Thai seafood rather than beefburgers is the menu of the day.

Ban Chang beach is in my back yard. Anyone headed down that way can drop me a PM and can hook up for a cold one with a plate of San Tum....

I can confirm SEA does live close. He took me on a motorbike tour all around the area ending at the beach, where we met his wife, and my wife and kids. Very laid back Thai scene. We were all impressed.

n&j, you know haw the Thais are with not pciking up after themselves so this is one contributor to the trash on the beach. Also, further up down toward Ban Pae, it could be that the trash thrown off and into the water from some of the petrol vessels is washed up on the beach as a result of current flow going that way.

I know the beach at Ban Chang is cleaned up by the vendors and this keeps it clean and more inviting for when visitors come and make a decision to return...

What's the food like in this place and other similar restaurants around?

Also, is there much in the way of evening entertainment?
