    Kao Kalok Beach - Pranburi

This turtle shaped mountain is on Kao Kalok Beach near Pranburri...

We went to Hua Hin for a few days, but as we feeled like being in Oslo center looking at the crowd, we decided to go for few more Kms, 30 exactly to reach this nice beach...

    This is High season !

Quite nice, sorry for the guys running the resorts, but we enjoyed the tranquilness...

Nice Thai style house with swimming pool at the beach front...

This is for private use, not a resort.

Some very nice resort, modern architecture and good hotels on that beach road of Kao Kalok !

    View of the bungalow row...

    There we checked in...

Owner is english form the City of L and quite nice, retiring in style and taking great care of thos cosy bungalows...

Looks like this form outside, forgot to make pics inside, but 2 beds, one big and one smaller, a fridge, AC and mosquito nets over the beds, big washing room and shower all working perfectly well... this for 1'200 thb a night, was well worth it !

The restaurant, abr and shop has everithing handy.

His Thai wife cooks excellent dishes of crabs and fish, wathever seafood just succulent, miss it allready, for real thai cheap prices...

Back at the beach of Kao Kalok, daugther enjoys the low tide and runs after the fish trapped on the tempaoray ponds...

Lots of little crabs run every side and cover the beach of small ball they roll for whatever reason...

After some time the beach got more busy...

In the Orchid garden resort, some shades of different shape to enjoy doing nothing...

Here we are on the back of the resort loocking to one of the bungalows...

They are really cosy fitted with first class bed linen of cotton...

This is the ground where the cricket will be played in near future !

Many posh and modern architecture resorts and hotels on this beach of Kao Kalok, this one is well taken care off but not on that modern style, still full of charm...

Burmese taxi coach in the garden...

one last view toward the turtle shaped mountain at the end of the beach and Bye Bye Kao Kalok!

Forgot to go around with the camera, but Pranburri old town is full of charm and the beach is top modern somehow... Few islands and fisher village...

Near Pranburri is one river with Irawadi Dolphins and monitor lizards...

Prnaburri old town was connected in the past only by boat or railway... The road was build some 20 - 30 years ago and the town moved to the new town a bit typicall as any other Thai town, bit dull... but old town not bad...

Pranburri city 20 km south of Hua Hin and Kao Kalok beach is 27 Km form Hua Hin approx...

Roughly 100 km sea to Pataya if you wanna cross by boat.

It seems like every Thai beach I go to nowadays is being taken over by ATV, Jetski and banana boat operators. Urge to kill...

Can you get from Pattaya to Hua Hin via boat?
I thought this had been discontinued.

^ Pataya - Hua Hin - Pataya / would be a profitable boat service form what i have heard.

It is roughly 60 nautical miles or 100 Km

What is said about it, nobody wants to start the service as the other would get jealous and problem could occur...

    So nobody starts it !

I'd for sure use the service once, if they start it !

You can probably rent a speed boat in Pataya and get across for the moment...

^^^ Pranburi beach / Kao Khalok is very quiet !

You can rent those ATV , only seen operator with it, and the Jetsky as well, but i've seen no one out in the sea during my few visits, and ...

Less young people on Hollydays there...

The younger generation there, goes KITE SURFING, makes no noises and really fun to see !

The place is famous for this sports !

Chicken and egg. The beach is quiet with few bathers and so the jet skis can and do come into very shallow water with no control. However if the beach ever gets busy and the beach/sea access for the jet skis is not defined it is only a matter of time before an accident to a bather occurs.
    Lord, deliver us from e-mail.

Kao Kalok beach is practically deserted during the week. Busiest times are weekends or holidays when Thais visit from Bangkok. Not many farangs about! Relatively more farangs at the Pak Nam Pran end of the beach (approx 5 km from Kao Kalok) where there are several resorts. Again at weekends/ holidays more Thais than farangs.

Yes - a few ATVs, bananas and (worse) jetskis but not enough to spoil things - yet!!

    Kao Kalok Beach - Pranburi

In the distance there are a couple of kitesurfers. Is this Lao Kalok or Hua Hin?
