Pattaya Beach, Pratumnak Road Soi 5 and 6

Ok this nice little Pattaya Beach can be got to from either Soi 5 off of Soi Pratumnak, or Soi 6, if you take Soi 6 it's just follow the road and bare to the right at the bottom, there on your left is the entrance to the beach, from Soi 5 keep to the left hand forks as you drive down the road, and there at the end you will find the entrance directly in front of you.

Entrance to the beach facing out to the road, here you can park your motorbike, cars you will have to leave on the road.

There are a couple of walking paths, if you take the left the next beach is Pattaya Park Beach, if you take the right that will lead you to Hu-Gwang Bay which is where the Cabbages and Condoms Resort and Restaurant is, these walkways are also nice to ride a push bike on.

Pattaya Park Beach (Pattaya Park Beach - Jomtien)

Hu-Gwang Bay (Small Sandy Bay Near Pattaya)

A few deck chairs set out by the sea, most of them are under the trees suggesting not many tourists come here, expat residents and Thais don't like sitting in the sun, weekends the beach does get busy with the Bangkok crowd visiting Pattaya and Jomtien, gets a few more touts wandering around also trying to sell you stuff, but no where near the levels of Pattaya and Jomtien beach has touts.

4pm and the beach is nearly deserted on this nice warm blue skyed day.

Looking left towards where Pattaya Park is located, Pattaya Park is set slightly further back than this photo goes. Again not too many people crowding the beach.

The local area is quite developed with hotels and condos, not many tourist type shops though, think I saw 1 massage place, a 7/11 and one of those small tesco lotus shops.

There are several restaurants in the area, Soi 5 has a couple of nice Thai seafood restaurants, also a couple of shack type Thai restaurants, a couple of bars that may do international food, also a bistro that does pizza of all things, personally I would drive to the top of Soi 5 and Pratumnak Road and eat at the Indian Restaurant the Nawab, now that place does a good curry and is nicely done out.

We always go to this beach. Left side port-a-potty, right side forget about it.
The pizza is good right up the street at Ease Coast too.

I do not clearly understand: all these beaches are only 1 beach and you can go anywhere if you walk from Jomtien corner (7/11 - Police), so why making it difficult by going to Pratamnak ??

Why do they have different names if they are all Jomtien Beach, although that bit on the Jomtien corner is where Dong Tan Beach starts, the gay one, you should come over here and tell the Thais they got it all wrong and you will redo it all for them.

^Also never any available car parking on Jomtien corner where the big sign proclaims that that part of Jomtien beach is in actual fact Dong Tan Beach.

I love the Pratamnak area, feels like a real neighborhood instead of a big greasy
slum like the rest of Pattaya.

    Pattaya is a shithole.

I've been doing jomtien for 10 years now and it wont be long before its also a shithole

Even Pratumnak, a nice part, will soon be overwhelmed with big highrise condos, well its started now, and it wont be long before there is a row of view talays all the way down beach road to satahip etc

    You can't argue with that

^I thought there were building regulations that prohibited buildings above 3 floors close in but some official must be getting a big payoff because a lot of high rise buildings are sprouting up near the beach.
