About 5 working days I'm afraid. No chance of express service.

Indian visas are a funny one in Bangkok. As we used to have properties in Goa I held a 5 year 'X' visa which they no longer issue.

However the strange thing about applying for an Indian visa in Bangkok is the following.

Since about 4 years ago you should apply at the visa application centre in Sukhumvit 25 and the application will take 5 working days. However, Thai Nationals can still apply at the Indian embassy in soi 23 and collect their passport with visa the following day. A non Thai who is travelling with them may also have their application processed at the same time if applications are submitted together.

Thanks for the replies......mostly good info, but I did find this and I can qualify for a next working day visa, well in theory anyway.

    Documents Required:

    Validity & Application
    • Normally issued for three months.
    • Gap of two months is mandatory between two consecutive visits for multiple entry visa. See clarifications under Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) at top right of this webpage.
    • Gap of one month is mandatory while applying for fresh visa upon expiry of previous visa.
    • Persons of Indian Origin(PIOs) may see the Advisory here.
    Processing Time
    • For Non-Thai nationals resident in Thailand for more than 3 years with work-permit / residence permit visa is generally issued on the next working day.#
    • For Non-Thai nationals resident in Thailand for less than 3 years visa is generally issued on the 5th working day. #
    • Foreign nationals who do not hold resident visas in Thailand are dealt with on a case to case basis.
