Room was just bigger than a broom cupboard. Bathroom was absolutely filthy and did not even dare have a shower at the hotel. Complimentary stripe of snot down bathroom door. Sheets appeared clean but the bed and pillows were hard. Very hot and noisy at night. Would have cancelled when we arrived but we couldn't afford to lose the money (that had been taken two days before we arrived!!!!!) and pay for another hotel. Would only recommend this hotel to someone I really disliked.

    “what a complete dump!!!!!!!!!”

carpets in corridor looked like they something from a bad care home. Floor had no carpet, just nasty wooden flooring that was all scrapped. cheap old portable telly like summat from the second hand shop. beds, well one was nearly on the floor it was that low and the other was high up. The shelf type thing between the beds that the phone was on was full of fag burns, and the room did have a stale odour of someone having smoked in there. Breakfast was crap '''

lets just face it london hotels are crap and despite that, often all booked up .

At Xmas I stayed here for about £55 a night.

Larger rooms, wifi and very good comfort levels.

Club Quarters - London, St. Paul's

There's a Club Quarters in Trafalgar Square too, a bit more cost.

I got a special deal as I booked with booking.com

Avoid the Hilton Kensington, as I'm pretty sure it's a 'fake' Hilton trading on name until the real Hilton group make them take the signs down.

stayed in london last week for 3 nights..managed to find a room at 30pound a night included english breakfast..right in the heart of hounslow ruff as fcuk but easy access to the underground, and a kebab shop right across the road and off licence selling ice cold cans of bow straight from the fridge...
I started of in life with fcuk all, and I still got most of it left !!

Dark Walls and furniture, small bedrooms and 1980's bed covers with stains says it all. No sound proofing which gives you the delights of thx chimes of st Pauls ever hour. If your after a cheap lodge in the city with poor service & rooms this is for you.

Sounds great Pat, use a tissue next time eh ?

I rather think The Goring Hotel will not be available for booking this weekend.

However, it has an outstanding pedigree,
vaunting it's position as the only family run
    five star hotel in London.

The link below is well worth clicking onto.

The Post Code alone SW1 says a great deal with regards to its position
in Belgravia, close to Buckingham Palace.
