    Police Clearance Certificate

    Anybody done one of these?

    1) A photocopy of Passport
    2) Document(s) stating that the applicant is used to work or live in Thailand
    3) A photocopy of Thai Working Permit (if available)
    4) Two Photographs (1 inch by 2 inches)
    5) Three sets of fingerprint. Fingerprint must be taken at local police or at the Thai Embassy or Consulate in your country together with the official seal and signature of the official taking the fingerprint.
    6) An envelope with pre-paid stamps and applicant's address to mail certificate bake to the applicant.
Note: Applicant must certify true copy of all document

Any idea if one copy of original prints then photocopied and signed by the police is ok? Fucking expensive to get printed here. Anything from 20 quid to 60 quid depending on the force.

Also. Any idea about these pre paid envelopes. Is it possible to get international stamps?

I recently applied for and got a CRB check from the UK as i'm changing jobs to work for a UK company in Thailand rather than a Thai company. I had to provide 3 forms of ID, passport and driving license were fine but the 3rd had to prove my address in Thailand. It was quite difficult as all my bills etc. are in my landlords name and my bank account is registered to my work address. Eventually to get around the problem i ordered something from Amazon and used the delivery receipt. They wouldn't accept my work permit.
After that it all went smoothly and took about 1 month.

^ I'm going the opposite way.

They cleared me last year, even when I was out of the country for 6 years. However this time around they want a blood FCO Good Conduct Certificate, which I can get for Korea for 121 pounds, but Thailand isn't available so I have to get a police clearance certificate.
