    Background checks on yourself.

    Hi all !

I want to do a Police check etc on myself, to make sure all is well .
I've got a passport renewal to fix and given applications that aren't successful don't get refunded ( if I understand correctly) I want to make sure I won't lose 200 euro!! The reason I ask is : I'm not in the same country as my passport was issued.

    Thanks for any advice guys!!

    P.S.

I'm no kid fiddler or anything!
    (maybe owe a few bucks)

Loan defaults etc... are civil not criminal matters. Won't appear on a police check, not in the UK anyway.

If you wish to access personal data in the UK then refer to info contained in:-

www.met.police.uk/information/faq or google - Personal Police Check

If one doesn't reside in the Metropolitan area then there is a link to other police districts on their website.

I'm not sure I understand your position, I haven't heard of passport renewal.

If your existing one is due to expire then they will issue you with a new one - new number, details etc.

I'm second guessing you here and assuming you are worried about an adverse police report somewhere that may impact on a new passport.

As stated above if it is civil it won't affect your passport, if criminal it may.
If the tax department are on your case, there may be a note on the system.

At the end of the day I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck anywhere with an expired passport.

    Good luck..

Thanks Aussie! The problem is exactly that it expired months ago! Typically, as I may be " hitting the road". Luckily, I'm no crim as far as the cops are concerned. .

I don't really understand your predicament.

Are you worried about getting a new passport due to being on overstay in Thailand ?

It seems you may be worried about being traced by renewing your passport, with the chip in it and all. If it is a debt problem, don't worry about it.
