The police wouldn’t take her because she was in bed ?
What sort of crap is that ?
If a welfare check is made and the checkee is at risk then she should be looked after by professionals whether it’s in hospital or Graylands (the local facility for the mentally unwell).
As for waiting until Tuesday (Monday being a public holiday locally) well that’s another cop out.

It is scary that Mrs. D is not in the hospital when she is delusional. Must be traumatic for the kids, not to mention yourself, BLD.

That washing thing seems like OCD on steroids. I’ve a friend with OCD that I fondly call Ms. Crazy Clean. Her whole life is cleaning. She goes psychotic from time to time when she comes off of her medications and thinks people are plotting against her.

That's some freaky sheeet. Must be terrifying for the kids when they're involved like that.

Best of luck with it all.

It must be very traumatic for the 2 kids. During these episodes, does she appear outwardly normal, or does she appear 'gone' in the eyes?

I thought by calling the mental health support line and them reffering me to bentley hospital i would avoid her going back to hospital the 2 nurses that turned up to chat with her just seemed to be trying to see if i was the problem. Small asian wife large aussie husband . AnywY they fucked of and said they will be in touch. This was about 4 in the avo. By 9.00 that night she had become unreasonable / hysterical . My oldest son called the ambulance which comes with the police also.

Yes. Its not going to be a happy childhood memory for them seeing mum have a breakdown and get carted of in an ambulance just to return 12 days later and tell them to wash there hands constantly.and eat apples

You have to remember that its not as simple as calling an ambulance..it might take hours for the ambo to arrive then they get " ramped" at the hospital for hours it has to be seen to be believed but the fact is the previos govt under funded and left health care in bad shape. Fuck u scomo.

As the day went on yesterday i could see she was becoming more and more fidgety and simply couldnt sit still. Had to take her to kmart to buy new bedding but once there insisted we leave straight away. In the car she started praying and demanded to be taken to a church to pray. I said i thought you were buddhist. Doesnt matter take me to a church. I couldnt find one so she made me stop at st maria gorettis catholic school for girls where she started praying outside the entrance. Back home she was pestering the kids and demanding they immediatly change there underpants then burst into tears . At this point i decided to call the hospital to see if i could bring her in but she refused to go so the hospital sent 2 nurses over again . I got told to wait outside. They had a long chat with her and reckon shes likely depressed from our friend dying ,covid homesick and a change in lifestyle , we lived a lot better in Lao. Anyway they left and a Lao friend of hers turned up but after a brief chat decided the fridge needed a clean. Shes just got up so i will see what today brings. Tomorrow im taking her to bentley hospital . The nurses reckon she will likely be prescribed meds this time, if she can be persuaded to take them. Her mum in Laos cant understand why i dont go to the pharmacy and buy her something to help her to sleep . If only it were that easy

Not surprised your internet buddies buddies didn't mention this, but it is becoming increasingly obvious she is in perfect mental state, she just hates your guts and putting up a show.

No wonder Australian healthcare doesn't want to get involved. Have you tried a marriage counselor?

    What a slime.

Is this more of your humorous trolling?

Maybe a slimy and disgusting comment, I don't really give a flying fuck. Just something to think about.

    Except, you can't think.

    Maybe this.
Thai / other women who leave their home countries face a huge difference in life.
If the woman is western the changes are great despite the similarities in culture and language, but for non-western folk it’s an enormous gulf.
Back home a Thai / Isaan / Lao woman has a powerful social life usually - messaging people day and night, group meets to shop or eat, etc etc. Pretty much living like a basket of puppies - (Has there been a meal in Thailand in the last ten years that hasn’t been photographed and shared around ? I doubt it ...) - whereas in the West our lives are comparably insular and disconnected from others.

If she’s living in Perth then even despite the availability of familiar foodstuffs and other women from the same area to chat with (and there’s LINE for chats with anyone anywhere) the culture shock is great.
The Aussie lifestyle is comparatively sterile. Public art compared to Thailand - pfft.
Food obsession - absent. Manners - terrible to non-existent (eg the sole of the foot paranoia doesn’t signify for locals).
Thailand has a handful of rules for business and about a million for culture whereas Oz is the complete reverse which can make it somewhat surreal for a Thai (or Lao) person.
I see Thailand as a nation of children and no doubt that is how Australia is viewed by many.

My wife found the air constantly too dry, the sunlight too bright and glary, the wind too windy, the cold too cold, the heat too hot (!), the dust too dusty, fibres and aromas caused fear (as did water quality), and so on ad nauseum.
Finding sympatico women to be friends with can be difficult. It seems that western women aren’t suitable friends because of cultural differences (and it’s exhausting to constantly translate their language) and Thai women may not suit either eg. some like gambling, partying and drinking and some would rather go to temple (and the Perth temples must be such a disappointment - they’re as good as they can be but not a patch on even a lowly village temple).

So sometimes moving out of their culture is just too hard. And then there’s the usual female insecurities, chronic jealousy which seems to be in the DNA, and the typical hormonal variabilities to deal with ie. chick madness gone nuclear.

^I agree with so much of this. It is not to say it wouldn’t have happened to her in Laos, but the stress of a new culture could have been overwhelming.

My friend Mrs. Crazy Clean is Thai and has all the family and support she needs. She still gets whacked out.
