Man arrested following theft from German in South Pattaya

Man arrested following theft from German in South Pattaya

A Thai Man who had earlier assisted a German resident of Pattaya who was being assaulted at the Bali Hai Port on Pattaya Beach was later arrested by Police and charged with theft.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon and the 55 year old German man was extremely grateful to Khun Tawatchai aged 28 for his assistance.

As a gesture of thanks, he invited the Thai man back to his apartment in Soi Khopai in South Pattaya and the two men spent the afternoon drinking.

The German man fell asleep and the Thai Man seized the opportunity to allegedly steal a computer notebook and Canon Digital Camera which he took to a Pawn Shop on Pattaya Third Road where he received 5,500 Baht for the items.

Pattaya Police were later called in by the German who assisted officers in tracking down Khun Tawatchai and his stolen items.

He was charged with theft and locked up pending court proceedings.

How does a person invite someone into their home, have a few drinks and then fall asleep while the guest is still their?

    Something is missing!

You'd think the thief would lay low for a bit.
We aften hear about such things. Someone gets robbed, the cops go out and get the robber. They seem to leave a trail of breadcrumbs.

Well, what did he expect from someone called Twatchai? You just dont invite strange Thai men in your house and start drinking with them, even if they did stop you getting battered...Unless you're an old German pervert.

What's all the noise about? Robbing Germans is quite normal and legal. Most of the EU is doing it...
