One foreigner caught up in gambling and drugs raid in south Pattaya
One foreign national and 13 Thais were arrested by police following a raid on a complex of low-rent houses south Pattaya.
On Thursday morning a team of local police officers went to an area in Soi Khopai in south Pattaya which is renowned for having people who like to engage in illegal gambling and illicit narcotics usage.
The police hit the jackpot this time when they managed to haul in 14 people, eight for failing urine tests which showed they had recently ingested illegal drugs and six for gambling, one of whom was a foreigner.
The arrestees were loaded into the back of a police pickups and brought back to Pattaya Police station for questioning, profiling and charging.

Would this be one or multiple pickups? Could be either in Thailand.

How many people are legally allowed in the back of a pick-up? Is there such a legality? Perhaps get the lawyer to do them for illegal transportation of accused.

No people are legally allowed in the back of a pick-up, on the motorways anyway. Cost me 500 baht the time my missus and ten of her family took me to the airport. I thought she had arranged for just me, her, the kid and the driver. The driver brought his wife and kid along and the missus invited the remainder of her family. I was none too pleased to say the least. I told her, next time, we'll get a taxi becuase taking multiple people in the back of a pick-up is inherently dangerous.

I won't take people in the back ie cargo class anymore.
I've seen the outcome of a small crash.
Not pretty.
