Patong Bag Snatchers Didn't Get Very Far

TWO thieves snatched the bag of a Russian tourist as she walked along Patong beach last night about 8.15pm.
But the robbers did not get very far. Visitor Katya Galeeva, 28, yelled loudly and the two bag-snatchers were apprehended within minutes.
At Kathu Police Station, Abdulgorde Moogor, 21, and Santad Mae-ngae, 20, confessed. The pair told police they had come from Pattani in Thailand's South to have fun over New Year and found they lacked the money to get home.
Ms Galeeva got back her bag, which contained baht and dollars, credit cards and a mobile telephone.
