Maybe there is some truth to it according to this website. http://zombiedrug.com/

What is the Zombie Drug? Otherwise known as The Devil's Breath, Burundanga or Scopolamine

    Drug Name:
    Scopolamine

    Street Names:
The Zombie Drug, The Devil's Breath and Burundanga

    Source:
Borrachero (The Devil's Plant). More specifically the Zombie Drug comes from the fruit of the plant.

    Danger Of Drug:
Criminals use the drug on their victims to kill them and/or, rape them and/or rob them

    Effect On Victim:
The victim will appear normal but they have in a sense lost their ability to resist suggestion. As an example, if the victim is told to hand-over cash they will do so willingly without any resistance all the while appearing to look like they have decided this on their own. The victim will also awaken with no memory of what happened. There is a risk that the victim may die also due to an overdose as this is the biggest challenge for the criminal as they decide how much to give the victim.

Common Ways The Zombie Drug / Devils Breath Is Given:
The potency of the drug is so high it can be simply blown into the victims face or rubbed on them. It is also slipped into drinks usually left unattended by the victim.

    Potential Global Impact Assessment:
Very small doses (as little as a gram of powder) can potentially kill 10 people. This drug has not only domestic consquences regarding crime but global concerns as well because it is a drug that can be gotten from a common plant and could have devastating consequences should the drug get into the hands of terrorists.

The victim in this case had too much memory of the events.

And she's still alive. I can't imagine that our gang were experts in administering the required amount.

There are over 50,000 scopolamine cases reported each year in Columbia and they usually don’t make the news unless they’re really bizarre. One recent incident involved three young Bogota women who preyed on unsuspecting men by smearing the drug on their breasts while dancing at nightclubs and luring their victims to take a lick.
That quote takes away that you can't be hypnotised by just rubbing it on your skin.

    Solved what happened now!

These gangs used to be very busy some years back when I enjoyed a drink or two, I would often wake in the morning with no money and no recollection of what I had done, where my money had gone or where I had been.... Scum!

    Zombie Drug
i'm with superman on this one:
even if this wonderdrug was so potent, then how the fuk does the perpetrator manage to pass it on through skin contect without himself/herself being affected?
just another thailand bargirl scam and another bunch of dumb farang victims who DESPERATELY want to believe that THEIR GIRL IS DIFFERENT!

...easy way to avoidf any of this shit is simply to avoid being touched anywhere by a thai wearing surgical gloves, and how fukkn dumb or kuntstruck would one have to be to accept any kind of explaination for them wearing gloves?

    bullshit!
    bullshit
    ...and more 'kkin bullshit!

i have never been able to get over just how stoopid a normally (supposedly) intelligent farang could possibly fall for this kind of shite!
..hypnotic power of the silky-haired thai pussy, perhaps?
    brrrzzzzt, brrrzzzt!
    beep!. ting, ting
    redirecting, please be patient..........:

    hello, insect!

Doesn't have to be a glove, just a finger of one. Do you go on high alert whenever you see someone with a finger plastered?

As for what actually happened I haven't a clue and am still searching for the lift they were in.

Was used/tested in South Australian prison around 20 years ago, father was part of a riot squad that used it. It was like a weed wond, And yes the crims do use it.
Does anyone remember the case where the guy was lead around and they even moved into his hotel room while they drained his bank account ?.

The threat of scopolamine/burundanga has also been verfied by OSAC in its Columbia 2007 Crime & Safety Report, which states that there are “approximately 50,000 scopolamine incidents in Colombia per year.” The danger seems to be localized to tourists, which is now one of many reasons that Colombia isn’t a hot vacation destination these days. Criminal use of the drug has also been reported in Venezuelan and Thailand.
