You'll need an automatic selector switch to switch between the 2 power sources. Something like this.
Well, that's a nice self reflection...but if you looked deep down into your need for hot water, would it be something you were taught as a child? Does hot water make you cleaner when you shower? Have you ever considered why you drench yourself in hot water when the air temp outside is even hotter?
Christ, I sound like that fuckwit Jeff...
"I was a good student. I comprehend very well, OK, better than I think almost anybody," - President Trump comparing his legal knowledge to a Federal judge.
I don't have a hot water system or really need one to be honest. The water down my way is bearable without the electric shower on.
But what happens to your extra lekky? Nothing because it doesn't exist because you're not storing it?
So it only draws the max available 'on tap' as required?
Just came across this:
THE NATION
Households can sell their surplus solar electricity to state providers at the rate of 2.20 baht per unit, the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) said on Monday.
The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) will buy surplus electricity from households with rooftop solar panels of up to 10kW capacity, said ERC secretary-general Komkrit Tantrawanit.
The PEA and MEA would each buy 5 megawatts of household solar per year for 10 years, starting in 2022.
Households must feed the surplus solar into the PEA or MEA grid within 270 days of signing the contract.
The National Energy Policy Council decided on March 9 to extend the household solar project after its launch last year.
Komkrit said no deadline had been set for house owners to apply to join the project.
Meanwhile, households who do sign up but fail to meet the 270-day feed-in deadline will be given an extra 90 days to supply their solar surplus.
Failure to meet the second deadline will result in cancellation of their contracts, Komkrit said.
He said the new announcement also applied to households who submitted applications to sell solar electricity to the MEA and PEA last year but have not started operations yet.
The two state firms will invite applicants to sign contracts within 30 days, Komkrit added.
He said the policy is aimed at cutting the use of fossil fuel to generate electricity after the Russia-Ukraine war caused energy prices to skyrocket.
Lang may yer lum reek...
you'll only draw what is required solar or otherwise, with solar you'll need to consider your peak demand when you think about the system design.
we are looking at c150k thb but that is me doing the set up and plumbing, chicken feed really when you hear people bumping their gums over 10k thb leccy bills
I'm not interested in the sell back but if it becomes widely available i'd do it. The panels should produce for 25+ years and will see me out.
I like to go big or go home, so I'm looking up 10kw home on grid systems in Thailand.
I've found this, not read it yet though.
Just a moment...
Sorry to link to the dark side.

I got booted on my first week.
I don't have a bath either!

The water here just about melts flesh from 9am-5pm without any heater.
Sounds like I could kill two birds with one stone by placing the daytime aircon solar panels around and shading the outside water tank.
There are panels that just work directly in the daytime? Enough to power 1 aircon, 1 fan, 2 fridges, 1 fleshlight, the odd washing machine twirl, 1 computer and a 65 inch TV running Wordle during the day?
Then the normal government leccy can provide the 17 aircons and devices Edith and Edweena go through from around 5pm on?
That's a bit more interesting.
did i mention you could heat your swimming pool?
Cost over requirement. Get a daytime boost or go balls to the wall and make money off the fucker.
My bill was over 8k this month and I wasn't even there, just the mrs and kids (in school).
Anyway, I was smart enough to make the lekky bill part of her budget cos I'm Scottish and spent my days running around switching shit off.
I got no stress in that dept now.
Fk it, what do I need solar for anyway?
I'll have moved hoose by then.
Surely tae fk I'll have moved hoose by then.
