One man arrested following last month’s assault and robbery of Irish Man
On Tuesday Afternoon at the Investigation Room at Pattaya Police Station, Police Colonel Nantawoot, the Pattaya Police Chief led a press conference to announce the arrest of an Iranian man wanted in connection with the assault and robbery of an Irishman back on 26th April. Mr. Ali Baghi aged 23 was presented to the gathered media and is thought to be one of three men involved in the assault and robbery of Mr. Reza Shiraz, who was originally born in Iran but now holds Irish Nationality. Mr. Baghi confessed to his part in the robbery and claimed he knew the victim and used a Thai woman to commit the theft of 1,460 Euro’s from Mr. Shiraz. The two other suspects, Mr. Ramin Rast Gar aged 27 and Mr. Mortesa aged 25 are expected to be caught soon as the Police know where they are currently staying.
