    Thaksin's Children starving (?),,,,,,,

Asked if he would accept the posts again if the Cambodian government wanted to reappoint him, Thaksin replied: "No more. Let me do something else. I'd better do something for myself. They robbed me of half of my wealth, so I had to do it to feed my kids," he said.

Bangkok Post : Thaksin 'kept quiet for reconciliation'

    Thaksin 'kept quiet for reconciliation'
Fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra said he had been quiet for some time because he wanted to see reconciliation in the country.

"I was quiet and some people thought I was dead or seriously ill. But when I came out, they accused me of creating unrest in the country," Thaksin said in a phone-in to his supporters in a concert in Pattaya on Saturday night.

The ousted premier said although he was living abroad, he had given suggestions to the opposition Puea Thai Party to help improve people's well-being and clear their debts.

"If there is an opportunity, I want to return to help the people who continue to support me," he said.

As for some MPs who resigned from the Puea Thai Party, Thaksin said he was used to getting betrayed.

He urged his supporters to place roses in front of different prisons nationwide on September 17 to call on the government to release the political prisoners since they fought for democracy and they were not murderers.
"Slavery is the daughter of darkness; an ignorant people is the blind instrument of its own destruction; ambition and intrigue take advantage of the credulity and inexperience of men who have no political, economic or civil knowledge. They mistake pure illusion for reality, license for freedom, treason for patriotism, vengeance for justice."-Simón Bolívar

Thaksin is doing what he knows best : making money.

And I'm sure in the process he's helping some of his friends back home.

    Thaksin dead ? Bankrupt ? History ?
    You sure about that ?

When he was in Thailand he had the dice loaded in his favour, sure he also made a packet on the Man City deal, but since then Ugandan Gold mines !!

Wouldn't be surprised if every con artist in Eastern Europe was banging at his door with a bridge to sell.

    Thaksin tweets support for reconciliation

    By The Nation
    Published on September 9, 2010

Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra posted Twitter messages voicing his support for national reconciliation yesterday for the first time since his last message on July 26, which was his birthday.

The five-point proposal that he tweeted condemned the instigation of violence as well as any criticism of the monarchy because the institution is above politics.

He also asked all parties to stop blaming others or inciting trouble, and requested for non-selective rehabilitation of those affected by the political problems.

His fifth point read: "Please don't worry about me. Although I am in more trouble than anyone, it is incomparable to the country's and the people's suffering. I offer myself to help and support real reconciliation. I thank all parties that have responded to reconciliation. The important thing is kindness and mercy in thought and action, not just setting up an image."

    He is so unbelievably narcissistic!

I often feel that if thaksin could live up to the myth surrounding him, thailand could become a much fairer society, unfortunately its all spin and mirrors. If he had died 4-6 years ago, he might have become of of Thailand greatest martyrs and achieved some lasting good.

To many he is already considered to be persecuted and that's why he's relatively safe for quite sometime to come. Can't see this dumb government wanting to elavate his status further.

To be honest I think 99.0% of them are narcissistic and the individuals who enter the world of politics believing they can do great thing's for their electorate either become a full member of the "click" or they run out of stamina and go.

Basically its a very sad reflection of the world as it is today, dog eat dog!

how is it that it's always the wrong and worst people who end up at the top with the full support of their population:

Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Khomeni, Bush, Berlusconi, Howard, Sarko, Mahatir, and of course Thaksin

Absolutely true, but given what thaksin is prepared to do and have done others on his behalf. He is in a very special class of narcissistic bastard, mostly reserved for communist, fascist and military coupe leaders.

Its wishful thinking, I just wish that he would call it a day, because I think there will be a coupe before he's allowed to run this country again so either way he losses except with a coupe the country looses too. And its not like his families going to go hungry for the next 10 generations with they money he still has.

7 Pheu Thai MPs return from meeting Thaksin in Russia

7 Pheu Thai MPs return from meeting Thaksin in Russia

Seven Pheu Thai Party MPs have returned from meeting former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra in Russia, one of them said Monday.

Lop Buri MP Suchart Lainamngern said he and six other Pheu Thai MPs travelled to Moscow to meet Thaksin on September 11.

Suchart said the former prime minister is still healthy.

Suchart said Thaksin wanted to see reconciliation happen in the country and wanted to all Pheu Thai MPs to push for reconciliation.

Thaksin will also draft new election campaign platform for the Pheu Thai, Suchart said.

Why did they visit the vile bastard I wonder? Is it more signs of him staying quiet for reconciliation?

Such a shame the lawyer he employs hasn't been staying quiet for the last few months....

It's easy for some to believe this guys lies.
