Monk kills monk - Amulet Fails

    Monk kills monk

PHUKET: A monk was stabbed to death after boasting that the talismans (amulets) hanging from his neck made his skin impenetrable to weapons.

Phra Sunantha Phongsu-wan, 44, died in hospital earlier this month from a single stab wound to his chest.

Witnesses reported that the previous evening Phra Sunantha and his friend Phra Sathien Khamphira, 55, had been at Samnak Takhro Temple in Nakhon Ratchasima discussing amulets and charms.

Phra Sunantha boasted that his amulets made him invulnerable to weapons.

To test the power of their charms, the two monks slashed each other’s arms with a knife. The pair reportedly found that the knife did not make an impression on Phra Sunantha’s skin.

The middle-aged monks then quarrelled over whose turn it was to use the knife, and Phra Sathien slipped, falling knife-first into Phra Sunantha, the witnesses said.

This time the amulet failed and the knife went deep into the monk’s chest, killing him.

Police have charged Phra Sathien with murder.

Several years ago the wifes brother, who had been away working on a fishing boat in Malaysia came home to Issarn with a bullet wound to his shoulder. He apparently suffered the wound after arguing with a fellow crew member on the boat. The purpose of his visit home was to get a valued lucky charm that would make him bullet proof. Not sure exactly what this lucky charm was but apparently it had been in the family for years, and since none of them had been shot it must have worked.

Anyway, the brother took the charm back with him to Malaysia to confront the bloke who shot him. The family hasnt heard from him in 10 years now. :-(

maybe that amulet makes him invisable so that you can see him to shoot him?
Have you been noticing a lot of food going from the table and booze from your bottle with no logical explinations.?

I had a business plan a few years ago.

me and a mate were to get our own amulets made up and blessed at an esteemed temple with an appropriate esteemed monk.

Then we give them to homeless people to wear for a week and pay then 5000b. They had to get hit by a bus or something and live, then we would give them another 5000b and take the amulet back.

Then sell it as a real life saving amulet with proof of life saving ability for 500k

I saw one of bouncer of Long Gun sitting outside, the mean looking one with all the gold amulet around his neck, looking at some magazine of amulet with price and description. He seemed completely into it, like you would expect from a gun nut looking at some new weapon. Amazing. He probably think that makes him invisible or invincible. Must work because I never pay attention to him before, and since there are no bar fights in Long Gun, it means he must be invincible.

    Thai logic at its best,

A little old man walks down our soi most afternoons.
Stooping and a trifle unsteady on his feet.
Was going to do the friendly farang thing and give him one of my walking sticks ( I have quite a collection ) until I realised he had about 10Kg of amulets strung on a length of anchor chain around his neck !!!

Surely all these thugs known that all the other thugs have the same invincibility amulets . . . doesn't it then defeat the purpose if everyone is invincible?

Darwinian references probably wouldn't apply, as these indoctrinated theories haven't an absolute - nor should be referred as a universal standard.
