    Really?

Clue 1 - To most Thais life is worth very little if anything.

Clue 2 - Most Thais can't handle any correction or any situation with class.

Clue 3 - 90% of Thais drive like maniacs and the police do nothing but check id's and ask for bribes.

Clue 4 - driving deaths are over the top in this nutty country and nothing is done.

Clue 5 - I have seen plenty of Thais lose their tempers, lay on the horn, flip people off, curse at other drivers and get violent over stupid things. Yes in the West it happens, but the average driver is not going the wrong way, tailgating people, weaving in and out of traffic, barreling down on someone in front of them whilst flashing their high beams on and off over and over again etc.

Since the police are too busy extorting people, getting drunk or banging their mia noi, I say these nutters need a horn blown at them, the middle finger displayed frequently and a maybe worse.

Why is it that Thai flip out and get all offended when blow the horn at them when you are driving like a normal prudent person and they are driving like a retard endangering you and other lives on the road? It is simply arrogant pride.

I think it stems back to Thai moms and dads letting their kids run around during dinner coming up for a bite once and while rather than sitting down like a civilized person. Then they progress to walking around dragging their feet so you can hear them coming from 100 meters away all the while not paying a bit of attention to where they are going.

I think it is ingrained into them to be inconsiderate and arrogant from the womb right on to adulthood.

Wonder what folks would have to say if this was the news item. Read carefully.
Well done, I like the role reversal scenario. By the way be careful with the kiddos as well some of them have guns and they don't hesitate to shoot if you look at them too long in a way they don't like.

why the hell would you want to blow on your horn? blowing on it will do nothing except take the dust off

sounds abit like UK, although you'll get stabbed in the back, literally. its strange though, the guide books write info in the books for 1st time travellers and state the thai's are some of the most polite and respecting people on the planet, losing face is a big no no.

coming back to these forums everyday and reading about that Thai's that have lost the plot and killing people just to get their own back makes Thailand just like every other country on the face of the Earth

At the junction where the German was shot a Thai/Lisau moneylender was executed in broad daylight at a red light a couple of days later.

No bitterness. Bitterness and reality are two completely different things.

Its called being here over a decade. And not just vacationing, but living here.

If you have have not seen anyone cut in line, shuffle their flip flops along whilst walking or driving like a complete utter fool then your stint here was probably spent at some Thia "boutique" hospital indulging in some overpriced medical tourism and also riding in a taxi everywhere.

You obviously have never gotten behind the wheel of a vehicle in Thailand.

BTW, I am not trying to knock your inexperience. I was there once as well. The circus is a lot of fun, until the clown takes off his makeup.

Care to share why you feel Chitown is showing 'bitterness'? I see nothing in hbis post that is not true and evident . . .

    Bitterness?

I totally agree there Chitown and I don't sense bitterness just the 'bitter' truth.

They are tards' pond scum...and any other word you care to use.

Please can we have some form of freedom of speech back on TD....for Gods/Allah's sake!!!

It is illegal to carry a firearm without a licence, but I don't think it is very serious one.

Thailand could learn from Singapore and Malaysia on that issue - mandatory death penalty for illegal possession of a firearm.

Isn't giving the finger or V sign a traditional response from a cyclist or biker who gets honk-honked by a passing motorist who wants him to get out of his way.

Herr Thomas did not deserve to die for this. I find it hard to believe a Court would accept a provocation defence.
