Sounds like jealousy to me. I'm sure if you had the cash you would have no such qualms about buying such a car in Thailand.
The only Ferrari kit cars worse than the one's built on MR2 chassis are the ones built on old US Fiero chassis... Anyone with any experience with the real deal can pick out a fake with one glance...
Unless it's KW & his former LB girlfriend...
I was merely pointing out many expensive imported cars especially supercars are imported illegally as parts to evade the excessive Custom's Tax on luxurious motor cars.Quote:

I would never own such a car in Thailand even if it were within my means.Quote:

I am perfectly happy to drive my girlfriend's Toyota and she is enjoying learning to drive nor is size or power of a car an issue to me as I don't need to compensate for the size of my penis.
Who would want to drive such a low slung vehicle on the roads in Thailand?
I once saw a Ferrari tear out it's exhaust system going over a speed bump in a supermarket carpark, but not in Thailand.
I don't trust them. The recession is just kicking in here.
There's a lot of corruption in the insurance industry here on both sides.
Sure you do sweet cheeks.:rofl:Quote:

I wonder if he paid the taxes on them, I highly doubt it as he is not that kind of guy. He owns like 20 of them, not sure what for. Money Laundering from overseas in a car dealership ? why not, those dodgy disco can't keep up with all his money flowing.
^^ Don't judge others by your standards Willy. I already categorically stated I wouldn't own such a car in Thailand even if it were well within my means.
I could be driving around in a flash BMW or equivalent right now but I simply choose not to.
As I said I don't need to be a big face when I'm driving about. Unlike most Thais and the scummy Westerners that wash up in SEA, I don't need to flaunt money or material possession in order to garner respect. I neither seek respect from Thais nor is it automatically reciprocal in return, regardless of their social status and financial pedigree.
So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
right :rolleyes:Quote:

Don't make the mistake of thinking it automatically applies to others.
Anyone with a social conscience would not own a car like that in a Third World country.
There was a farang guy on ThaiVisa who kept bragging about how many new Merc he bought here, I think he was driving 2 or 3 at a time in Bangkok
for me it sounds obscene, coming to a third world country to show off how rich you are and that you can afford to buy a car 2 or 3 times the price you would pay in your country seems to be a complete waste of money,
wouldn't it be put in better use in some charity ? this is highly despicable IMO and another reason why the very rich should be taxed to oblivion, they have no fucking clue of what to do with their money, so they waste it, often at our expense
^ What cars have you got BF?
I see your point but can't agree with it totally. It's just like saying if you live in a third world country you don't have the right to own a car that people in the first world do.Quote:

Is it obscene that Roman Abramovich has 5 luxury yachts, a couple of private jets and who knows how many cars and lives in the U.K. where there is more than a few people on the breadline? A fair comparison or not do you think?
Personally I don't have much of a problem with it. The haves and the have nots will always be there, gotta get used to it in this world it's not going to change for a while.
Oops, good point :)Quote:

No, it's nothing like what I am saying.Quote:

What's more obscene, driving an expensive car in Thailand or making sure you get the right price for that poverty stricken girl in Cambodia?
